We were right there
Ingram was a very high pedigree goalie at one point, he's just been shuttled around because of reported 'not a good pro' issues. So not surprised he can flash brilliance.
Last night wasnt his fault but he looks shaky out there. Like everyone in the building puckers up whenever there is a shot on goal and he knows it and feels it also. Hope he has one last run in him though.

Again, I don’t see why everyone loses their mind about Quick. He’s clearly done and will retire a legend at the end of the year.
The obstacle between the Kings and a Stanley Cup in 2023 is not Jonathan Quick. We are not contenders this year even with league average goaltending.
Maybe wash Quick's uniform and equipment in a "Hossa-special" detergent. If they are serious about the playoffs this year, then the FO needs to have a talk with Quick and his injury status. He's not regaining anything. If we were still tanking, then he'd be perfect and you'd let him play things out on the retirement last hooray trip. But we're past that phase now. It's time...it's over.
Try Cal as the backup for 1-2 games to see if he can be decent as the backup option and not lose games by himself-- if he fails, then make a trade for a solid backup to finish out the year.
The Kings would be the best team in the conference if Quick was simply playing as well as Cal did last year. It isn't even league average goaltending required. If Copley has a Mike Smith like meltdown during the playoffs, it is an easy win for the Kings' opponent.Again, I don’t see why everyone loses their mind about Quick. He’s clearly done and will retire a legend at the end of the year.

Which players stopped the pucks in the shootout? The won despite of Quick not because of him.
I think the point is that they probably aren't in OT if he's not swimming 5 feet out of the crease on more than one occasion.Which players stopped the pucks in the shootout?
They're also not in OT if the Kings could score on Ingram at all in 45 minutes of play.I think the point is that they probably aren't in OT if he's not swimming 5 feet out of the crease on more than one occasion.
That's fair. But they've also had games (Seattle, among others) this season where it just didn't matter how much they scored, and I'm not saying that's all on the goaltending, especially at that time. They're also not in OT if the Kings could score on Ingram at all in 45 minutes of play.
Quick's definitely done. I just don't get the piling on. They won both games. 4pts in a back to back is good. They blow leads. They've done it with Copley too. I'm not sure why people think he's immune to this. That's fair. When healthy Colorado is definitely the favorite, but they've been decimated by injuries all season. Outside of them you have Vegas, Dallas, Seattle, Winnipeg, Edmonton, and LA, feel like any of one of them could take it if Colorado doesn't get back to 100%,Pump the brakes, champ. The Kings would likely win the Pacific with above average goaltending, but they’re nowhere close to the best team in the conference.
If Durzi holds the puck opening night, the Kings are tied for first in the conference. Better goaltending improves the team more than that.Pump the brakes, champ. The Kings would likely win the Pacific with above average goaltending, but they’re nowhere close to the best team in the conference.
Why not though? They aren't favorites but with better defense or goaltending they could make the WCF at least.Again, I don’t see why everyone loses their mind about Quick. He’s clearly done and will retire a legend at the end of the year.

They may have a few statement wins and a good record in a bad division but I do not buy their chances in series format
God damn, that play was biblically brain-dead.If Durzi holds the puck opening night, the Kings are tied for first in the conference. Better goaltending improves the team more than that.
