I was pretty hard on him since I felt like up until his contract year his glaring inconsistency made me question the career year he had. Pleasantly surprised to see he’s actually carrying over after getting signed.

Perfectly reasonable contract for one better than ok season. Should he continue to be a 30, 35, 40 goal guy for the next few years, he'll get a fat 7/8 year contract, here or somewhere else, come 2025 or 2026.
