Really?

Stutzle (-27, 79 gp), Zegras (-21, 75 gp), Drysdale (-26, 81 gp), Raymond (-32, 82 gp)

Don't even want to look up their avg PP time or overall avg TOI ..... will make me sick

Kings one of the few franchises that would not give 55 or 34 heavy PP time and top 6 minutes early in their careers and let them grow no matter what .... see above
Cool, so what established veterans were scratched or ice time minimized to allow those players to 'grow'?

Just two seasons ago in 2020-21, Kempe had 14 goals and 29 points in 56 games as a 24 year old and finished the season a -18. He averaged 2:56 per game on the power play.

You are becoming a caricature dude with these auto responses all the time. It's getting old. Koala "dumb" - yes; but nobody said Fire him in this thread (ok, maybe one person semi mentioned it is a somewhat joking/passing way).

BTW, common sense would be having Arvy sit a few games to start the season considering he's coming off major surgery and missed almost the entire TC / preseason games. Common sense is letting him work his way back into shape and show he's ready to perform at top level for 15-20 minutes a night. Not just toss him right back out there because he's an established "vet"

Yeah I don't understand the rush to get Arvy, Durzi, Walker back into the lineup when none of them are near 100%, clearly. You would think this is exactly the situation where they could have leveraged IR/LTIR or a conditioning assignment.

Hampering the development....of younger players.....(while icing one of the youngest teams in the league)

Tell me, who has he hampered, who is WORSE THIS year.....than last.....(3 games into this season)

Sure but simply 'icing' one of the youngest teams in the league means very little when you give the bottom end 9 minutes and the 35 year olds 22+ minutes.

Imagine trying to be the ultimate gatekeeper on an internet message board and having zero awareness complaining about others “polluting the board”.

I believe the saying goes "if you run into an asshole in the morning, bummer, you ran into an asshole. If you run into assholes all day..."

These points are deliberately ignored every time they're presented.

Absolutely fair point on ice time,

Vilardi, 16 min average
Byfield 12 min average
Kaliyev 9 min average

Kopitar 19 min average
Danault 19 min average
Kempe 18 min average...

That's this year.....3 games in....can we at the VERY LEAST acknowledge, we don't know what we don't know? We don't know what Kaliyev is dealing with.....people have verbalized he's noticeably different this season...even from pre-season....

Having said that, you have a 3 minute average from a 20 year veteran....and a player who was almost out of the organization.......

Again, not seeing where the HAMPERING development is coming into play here

I would like to know the difference between those 3 teams and the LA Kings.
All were picking in the lottery around the same time.
Oooh, I know. Only one of those teams are considered a playoff team right now -- that must be the team that's doing things wrong, right?

Those teams never had a chance to even SNIFF the playoffs....so yea, they could afford to play fast and loose with those players, it's extremely easy to play 100% offensive in this league and zero percent defense.....

Show me the last winner that did that though.....

Back to this game, it should be interesting to see which team comes out tonight. Offensively, defensively, PP/PK special teams and even goaltending. Sure hope they can build off the last game offensively / PP; all while beginning some defensive structure. GKG!

You will see in the first 10 minutes.....they have to stay out of the box......

If they come out flying and establish their forecheck (whoops, their identity) they will be fine

I agree, we don't know what's going on--but the point is these are repeated patterns, so it's hard to see past that.

I've already said I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt for up to 10 games but there's also no reason to believe it would be different beyond when they've been doing this for 160 games.

Give me a reason to believe otherwise, you know? They're doing that with Vilardi, at least. But the others...

Not repeated patterns....160 games, thats 2 years, all last year......and the year before....so 2020-2021 and 2021-2022, in 2020-2021....Byfield averaged 15 minutes a game, Vilardi averaged 14 min a game, JAD 13 min a game...and Kopitar 21, Iafallo 19, and Brown 18......

Again, top 3 youngsters...all above (omg they are only playing 9 min a game)

Getting bounced in the first round isnt as cool as you think it is. Havent heard anyone consider the Kings a contender to win the cup this year. They are closer to Ottawa than they are Colorado.

Arts kinda one dimensional an needs to do better on D and possession. I do think he is knocked up , making it worse. Clarke is in again which indicates they are still evaluating him for and leaning towards a season long slot. Edler needs to get in game shape.

Pay $100+ for streaming TV, get shitty stream. It’s a perfect market for fans of the Kings.

Maybe its just me, but ever since they switched to Bally's sports I feel like there's like a new mistake every couple of games or so. I don't recall very many mistakes happening when Fox Sports was running the broadcast
