They absolutely have to reduce Durzi's minutes, he's getting exposed. Could easily give some to Clarke.

Such a weird start to the season

At least Kings games in Nashville are notoriously boring and not weird at all! :sarcasm:
Maybe it would be best to move Durzi sooner than later before he loses all the value he has.

I think we can get a fun shiny new toy for him if we add a pick or something.

Regarding Kaliyev, it sounds like it was a coach’s decision.

So this is kind of good /bad result. Good he wasn't injured, but kind on BS he did not play. But the Kings are going to play 5 games in 8 days so i guess i can live with it

Vilardi, beasting again. durzi has been very passive since his blunder, instead of getting his double edge sword play now we just get his dumb defensive mistakes.

Didn't the team scratch someone last year for a game and then finally said they were sick or injured when the player missed the following game too? I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case here. This team is just very secretive.

On one hand, yay, cohesive locker room.

On the other, that's f***ed up in comparison to all the 'stupid' rhetoric surrounding Durzi's turnover during the VGK game.

not only that his comments has made durzi lose all confidence and his swagger. now we get neutered version of durzi.

Vet f***s up making a mental/lazy bad effort play: "we all rallied around him and weren't ever going to let him down, hurrah, we are all one"

Rookie f***s up being bold and reckless (not coincidentally with ARvidsson being a bitch nearby): "what a stupid asshole, do you think if we wait long enough we can f***ing kill him and hide the body and just say he's scratched?"

It's just kind of a tough spot for prospects to find their way on the team. You have established vets and then a bunch of young players learning the NHL. When the team is trying to compete then young mistakes will be magnified and players will start second guessing themselves. A part of me thinks that Vilardi just decided to say f*** it, I'm going to play my game. He was upset about being demoted last season and then being moved to wing, now he seems to be playing full of piss and vinegar.

Hey, whats up with Kaliyev? I'm an Oilers fan, so don't watch the Kings much, but know how Todd can be with young players. I picked him up this summer for my keeper league and thought he would have a big year with you guys. Couple points, but sounds like he was scratched tonight and not a lot of minutes so far. Just wondering what you guys think about his deployment and how you think his season may go, or any other insight you may have on the player? Thanks in advance.

Our series was a fun one. I could go for that again, so good luck this year🍻

The worst part about the pass they just gave arvidsson for bombing. They are so hard on younger players. This is the kind of stuff that will make the locker room divided when you’re on single mistake away from losing your spot while these guys can get away with throwing the way because of their date of birth. Todd is an idiot

got outplayed by vilardi. no spot in in top 6. with iaffallo going down he should be in the top 9 but with TM as coach who knows.

If Iafallo is out for a long period of time we assume he would play with Byfield and Villardi . That could bode very well for Arty the way those 2 have started the season

Cmon people, do you really think that a comment from a coach makes a player lose his confidence like that? Hell no, these are pros. If a player falls apart because of some criticism they are too mentally fragile to remain in this league. Durzi has always been like that, was in the AHL too - prone to periods of mistakes. He's up and down, his offense will be fine. He is getting exposed this year because he is no longer an unknown quantity like last year when he came out of nowhere. Teams know his weaknesses and know that he'll make risky plays.

Yeah Kaliyev was scratched. And guess what? The line he was on had their best night of the season. What other line would you have put him on? The first, who is starting to click? The 2nd, who once they got some decent matchups won the game for us? The third, which has been our best line?

Arty is one of my favorite players and he's going to a fixture for years. Calling TM an idiot for scratching someone is a valid point on a lot of nights, but certainly not after this game. And guess what? Because he was scratched and Iafallo didn't come back, there's a good chance he's moved up to the Byfield line which is where most of us want him in the first place.

TMac is the highest paid coach in the NHL currently.

It's not a confidence thing for me, it's a tone thing.

Durzi f***s up by trying to make a reckless play in the last minute of a game in which we were outshot worse than we have been in a decade and he becomes the lightning rod for the whole game because of his 'stupid' play

Arvidsson f***s up with a complete bullshit lack of effort play in a game where the Kings played relatively well as a group and the tone is 'dont' worry bro we'll lift you up.'

If you ever need to see the difference in how the tone is set between youth and vets on this team, there, several days apart you have very stark, public examples of the language used to describe mistakes made by either party.

I'm about 90% confident that Arvidsson won't be benched for this. He wont' lose a second of play. He'll be allowed ot 'play through it.' If the body in the jersey was under 24 years of age, I'm about 90% confident they'd be on their way home to Ontario tomorrow.

Durzi is getting exposed this year

Durzi was exposed last year.

Teams know his weaknesses and he is pure garbage defensively.

This team is an embarrassment defensively. No system, no puck management whatsoever. Just pure skill and skating and let’s hope our transition beats theirs and our special teams don’t give one back.

I don’t see how anyone can be a TMac apologist. This all falls squarely on the coach’s head.
