I hate to say it, but losing Brown to retirement is having a greater effect than expected. You can't have your heart and soul be a goalie and expect it to work. Bunch of low effort, no hustle, weak minded players on this team

It really is the inverse of the Lombardi teams.

I’d rather watch Dwight King and Trevor Lewis grind out a boring 1-0 loss than this shit.

Blake has no plan. Todd is a terrible coach. These are indisputable facts.

You can add offense, its very difficult to add a spine.

Blake has been drafting and acquiring offensive wingers and offensive defensemen and completely left the backbone of the team to players on the downside of their careers.

I have been saying this online for 20 years now, you draft for spine and structure and you add the flair. Blake has been going backwards throughout his entire tenure.

The individual games aren't the issue, there are good players here who can win more games than they lose. The point is the direction of the team, and its all being funnelled into the least important aspects of the game. Not enough heart, very little leadership - just a spineless skating team that has no chance of accomplishing anything of note.

Dude - this is the exact same team since 2016. Brown had exactly one impactful season in the last 7 or 8 of his career

It wasn't about how impactful his season was. It's being with the team and in the room. This team has even less of a backbone than when they decided to tank the year out with Willie D

This team has a lot of problems, and this won't fix everything (or maybe much at all), but it would be nice if this staff/front office decided to ice the best possible roster and stop playing waiver bullshit and ELC games

But this is what Blake drafted. Non physical players.

We only draft non physical centers and tinker bell offensive defensemen, which is cute.

The organization would need a plan and have a front office able to execute it rather than be passive and unwilling to fix their mistakes.

I'll be honest, I didn't think it was possible to be so bad defensively+goaltending in this era of the NHL to give up 4+ goals more than half of your games. And here we are so far (13 of 25 now)

What do you expect when our Rhodes Scholar of a GM has stocked the blueline with seventeen copies of the same mid size puck moving RHD?
