This happens to coaches, Axl. Brunette was a Jack Adams finalist last year and was let go, Gallant was as well and Rangers fans are now having the same concerns VGK was.

TM isn't EVERYTHING wrong with the team but the issues are still the issues and he appears to have doubled down on some of them while others have gotten worse, and the accountability and leadership is even worse.

The season isn't lost...yet. But you don't wait until it is to do something. That's like waiting until your business is bankrupt to start cutting budget.

Let's also add that yes, a Jack Adams award and nomination is absolutely a prestigious award. But let's keep note of the fact it's voted on and decided by the NHL Broadcaster association. Not GMs. Not other coaches. Not other players.

My take is The Kings offense got a little full of themselves and got away from that defense first mentality. It's not fun to play and you need to work your but off every shift. Obviously they need more size on both the front and back end. I think they need to trade Kempe for more of a tough forward who may not be as skilled have size and good along the boards. Roy would be a solid defenseman for some team and getting a LD in exchange should be possible.

100%, they went away from defense first....and 100% its more entertaining now......I don't know about trading Kempe......not against it....but as with all things, it depends on the return.

I have to admit, it is hard not to laugh at Burakovsky's interview. I am not sure I have ever seen a modern post-game quote where a player pretty much stated that the other team sucked, but it fits and he wasn't doing it in malice lol.

Kopitar is top 30 in center scoring, top 15 in ice-time, and is the 2nd best face-off guy in the league this year only behind Bergeron.
