If Mac is on a PP unit with Klingberg and Zegras, think 40+ points is very realistic.
It’s hard to say I think mctavish ends up closer to 50 than 40.

Idk if the 2nd power play unit will be “weak” I think it might be beneficial for drysdale.

Let’s say

Strome Zegras mctavish
Fowler klingberg
Is unit 1

Unit 2 has some pretty good options

Vatrano henrique terry
Vaak drysdale

Comtois could also fit on here if he shows up ready to camp.

I see Drysdale taking a step back also in production because Klingberg will most likely take his spot on PP1 next to Z. What I am curious about is Fowler, Drysdale, and Shattenkirk. One of these guys will lose their PP spot, hopefully it's Shatty. Drysdale needs to develop still, and Fowler had a career year last year. Would be a slap in the face to take him off where he succeeded.
Flip side is, they may try to show off Shat for the trade deadline and use Fowler more on PK (since he's the best defensive D) and cut down his PP mins. Or run 2 D on each PP unit?

Am I the only 1 who thinks stolarz should be traded and give dostal back up duties

No because Gibson always gets hurt for a decent amount of time. I’d listen to offers for him because cheap backups are always appealing, but I wouldn’t just shed him. Another year in the A won’t hurt Dostal either. Hopefully the team in front of him is better this year.

I'd listen to offers on Stolarz - and trade him for a premium if one is offered. But then I'd go sign another (lesser) back up goalie for cheap and leave Dostal in the minors. He's not ready for the NHL and needs to play everyday (unless he gets beat out by Clang).

If Stolarz is not traded now, you probably revisit this at the deadline. Maybe Dostal's ready then for half a season.

There really aren't any available.

I just feel he’s done 1.5 years in ahl and put up pretty good numbers, he also looked solid in his limited nhl games behind a questionable team/defense.

Stolarz has put up fantastic numbers, and I imagine can pull a pretty good draft pick, in terms of trade value. Guess you wait till mid season and see what goalie issues raise in other teams.

I’m still for trading gibson if we get a 1st back from someone, extend stolie as a vet goalie while dostal and clang grow

Just like every year, there will be lots of veteran goalies going through waivers or available for next to nothing.

Even if you view the ducks 2022-23 outlook favorably, I don't view backup goalie as a needle mover. More likely Stolarz gets moved at the deadline of if another contender has a goalie get hurt during the year.

I thought Stolarz would be picked by Seattle in the expansion draft. This past year, he finally got in double digit games at the NHL level. In 28 NHL games, Stolie was able to earn 3 shutouts, .917 Sv %, and 2.67 GAA. That's impressive!

What I liked about Stolie's success is that we can draft a player similar in size and develop him. We ended up drafting Alexander.

Trade Shattenkirk now?
I'm totally on board with trading Shatty now. He's not going to get the same offensive opportunities he had before Klingberg got here, and I feel like that will only lower his value as time goes on. However, given how popular he is in the locker room, I wouldn't hate him staying until the deadline.

Doubt we move Shatty right now. The way I see it is:
Fowler- Klingberg
Kulikov-Drysdale
Vaaks/Benoit-Shatty
Vaaks/Benoit
Mahura
Run with 8

Remember when someone on this board said ducks are done making moves. I said they will trade for another defensemen? Told you so...
I mean you were wrong though..... interesting time to floss lol
