Weird wording about ''no one has suggested otherwise'' but I'll take it. I guess Getzy would have thrown him out of the locker room if he had been involved Probably Murray would have taken action as well.

He had promising WC, he seemed to be more active and less floating, just like at the end of the season here. Looking forward to what he can bring. Unless he is traded for Tkachuk

I like this statement more than some of the others. He states he's not involved in "any way", some of the other statements are rather ambiguous.

I think the point of this part is maybe explaining why his statement didn't come sooner. Kind-of like "nobody mentioned anything about me and I wasn't involved so didn't think I had to release anything" type of thing.

I think people just like playing detective. Everyone is obsessed with crime these days.

Long as he isn't 2 seconds late to every play on both sides of the rink, he will be effective.

To me, it looked like the end of the season and in the WC he was taking a more active role skating. Beforehand, he would just float around and like you said, be late to the plays.

This would also somewhat be in line with Verbeek coming on board and saying out loud how he wants his players to be. So I do have my hopes up.

He was put in the 4th line role + net-front in crunch times. He did not disappoint.

All I gotta say is there was a big portion of the beginning of the season I preferred Sam Steel over Comtois... and those that know me have to know how bad Comtois was playing to think that

Ducks have a potential Top 6 power forward in Comtois. Really hope he shows up motivated and in shape. Will be huge to have his type of play in the Top 6.

If comtois came back better than his first year…. I’d feel a lot more comfortable with our forward group going forward

Yeah agreed. His play style is what someone like Terry or Zegras need on their lines. Terry is getting his set up guy to replace an aging Getz, and Z is getting his sniper/goal scorer. Rico is also there, and he is good at crashing in front of the net as well. A lot also depends how McTavish does, if he will be in the Top 6 or not to start, I don’t think he will right away.

A renewed , in-shape, motivated Comtois, gives them options.

Yeah, I'm excited to see how Comtois goes this season. Talent is easily there, just needs to be professional in how he approaches his off-season.

Comtois coming in shape would be a massive boost to our forward lineup. We'd actually be looking at having a half decent forward line up when you factor in the other additions too.
