Maybe putting Henrique back with Terry will get him to move faster than a tortoise.

Not sure I like the idea of Lundestrom on the wing though. He seems much more comfortable in the middle. He also hangs onto pucks too much for me to like him being paired with Zegras and Vatrano. Zegras needs to have the puck.

I can't really put together a forward lineup and be happy with everything, but this is as close as I got:

Comtois-Zegras-Vatrano
McTavish-Strome-Terry
Grant-Lundestrom-Silfverberg
Jones-Carrick-Regenda

Scratch Henrique and see if that does anything for him.

I just want Lundestrom to play with some talent. Figure out if he's a potential 2C or 3C, but then again Zegras and Strome's best position is center. There's no harm if McTavish is a future winger if Lundy can fill that 2C void behind Zegras. I don't know who you drop down though, maybe Comtois, but I'm a huge hater of his and I actually think the "promotion" has done some good to his game. After rereading, this post was useless lol.

Should we go back to right side Fowler with Drysdale out?

Kulikov-Fowler
Benoit-Klingberg
Beaulieu-Shattenkirk

:dunno:

Not sure we can do much better than this.

I'm happy to see Regenda get sent down rather than sitting in the press box and not gaining more NA ice experience. The 11F & 7D roster has him as the odd man out. Also, the org probably wants to see more of Leason in the line up. Regenda being waiver exempt helps make some decisions for the GM.

Shocked Verbeek didn't call up Hunter Drew and instead another midget

Gawdin is listed at 6'1 and 185 lbs. His scouting profile says he has a physical and gritty side to his game. Last season in the AHL, he racked up 75 PIM in 62 games. Either he takes a superfluous amount of unnecessary penalties or he gets into some fights or scrums. At least one fight of have an odd number in PIM.

Maybe Gawdin can help by being on the PK unit? But I think Gawdin needs to bring the lumber to his two-way play if he wants to stay in the NHL level as a bottom-6 forward.

HIdden within Dillman's recent article about Drysdale's injury:

“He (Regenda) has played very well,” Eakins said. “He’s been a great surprise. He just needs to fine tune a few things. I think he’s got a very bright future ahead of him. The other thing that works against those guys – and it’s not their fault – when you’re in a funk like we were in, that’s not his job to get us out of it. It’s not (Brett) Leason’s job to get us out of it. It’s the guys that have been in this dressing room, especially veteran guys, to do that. I had no interest in having him in the lineup when things weren’t steady.”

Nice. I'm glad Verbeek obliged and sent Regenda down to the AHL, a better environment.

From this statement, it feels like McTavish is gonna stay with the NHL club even though it's better he's not a part of this club as a rookie like Regenda. McTavish is gonna get the Drysdale treatment like last year - just gonna have to earn the bumps and bruises at the NHL level.

Apparently 6'2 is the midget cutoff considering Hunter Drew is only an inch taller than Gawdin

He had 1 fight last year and a total of 4 his career this doesn't help the lack of toughness issue unfortunately

Gawdin is slight. Only Eakins would think he brings a physical element :sarcasm:

This is exactly right. If PV isn't going to provide the personnel to create a consistently helpful environment for young players then it's up to Eakins to protect guys like Regenda, and I'm glad he's doing it.
