For the billionth time, he is the HEAD COACH who is responsible for EVERYTHING. He has assistants who help specialize in different things but make no mistake, it is the HEAD COACH who takes the heat and takes the glory. I can’t believe a smart person such as yourself thinks the head coach has nothing to do with different aspects of the team he is responsible for.For the billionth time, Eakins is not in charge of the PP unit.
- 2017 summer: Asst. coaches Konowalchuk (PP) and Morrison were hired by the Ducks.
- 2018 summer: Konowalchuck fired by the Ducks, Morrison becomes PP coach. Asst coach Wilford hired for defense.
- 2019 summer: Eakins becomes head coach; asst coaches stay
- 2020 summer: Asst coaches stay, finished with 8.9% PP
- 2021 summer: Morrison and Wilford fired. New assistant coaches Ward (PP), Brown (PP), and Stothers (defense/PK) hired.
--- Had a top-5/8 PP before Verbeek blew up the roster at the TDL.

- 2022 summer: Ward left the org for personal reasons. New asst coach Craig Johnson hired.
Ward leaving the org had a significant affect on the Ducks' PP for the 2022-23 season. It's the GM's job to find the appropriate assistant coach(es). Murray took blame for Morrison and Wilford, which is why we had two asst coaches to improve the moribund PP unit for the 2021-22 season.
If you're going to criticize, then criticize correctly.

Whole team needs to get it for stretch run
Now, if we are being fair about it, the ’93 and ‘94 teams played 84 games, and the ‘75 team played only 80, so it’s not apples to apples. Probably will still the the worst even pro-rated though, but it’ll be closer than it appears. Need to get to 3139 to hive the highest shots against/game. I’ll charitably say it happens in the last game, but it’ll probably be against Vancouver.
Stay home unless he plans to help with the Tank
Nah, after playing a few games, he decided he was going to pretend to be sick for the rest of the year. Was he rewatching our games?
