Derek is a blogger, right? How is it that he covers the team more thoroughly than Dillman or Stephens?

Stephens write for the Athletic and the Athletic has their own tweet system call Real Time. Stephens likes to write more flushed out articles. Also, the Athletic is cutting back fiscally and made Stephens cover both the Ducks and Kings. Dillman works for the OCRegister, which is like a legacy media. I was expecting more than several short articles from Dillman. As others have mentioned, she used to have her twitter available. On her OCR page, she would have her tweet feed at the top of the page, but it's no longer there. Both the Athletic and OCR are subscription based media.

Derek is now part of The Sporting Tribune. The Sporting Tribune covers southern Cal and Vegas sports. Derek used to be a part of The Hockey Writers, covering the Ducks specifically. A good promotion for Derek.

Stephens' coverage of the Ducks has expectedly gone downhill this year with him being stretched in two directions and the Ducks being bad. On top of that he's also never been great for day to day stuff. won't be renewing my subscription from the Athletic, there are so many other good free sources out there for the league and Derek Lee is better than Stephens/Dillman for the Ducks specifically

I think Kravtsov has more skill and upside. Both are in their coaches dog houses, but Kravtsov just cannot crack the Rangers Top 9. Comtois I think there might be more going on to be scratched for this line up. I just feel both need new scenery.
Yeah, I wonder if they're sitting Comtois in preparation for a trade like everyone seems to be doing right now.

I don't think so, teams typically only do this with rentals, Chychrun being an exception but he's an incredibly high value player with an injury history so it makes sense with him
Wouldn't this also be an exception if Verbeek doesn't plan on tendering him? Essentially makes him a pending UFA.

I really enjoy the NHL draft and prospects updates of Pronman, Wheeler, etc... A Stephens article here and there is icing on the cake.

As for day to day stuff, I'm grateful for this community to always keep us up to date.

Not really sure where to put this, but despite DSG's impending bankruptcy, it's noted in this article today that the Ducks are finalizing an extension with the network

Diamond Sports Group will miss a $140M interest payment tomorrow that will trigger a 30-day grace period before filing for bankruptcy on March 15, but several NHL and NBA teams are still cutting deals with Diamond’s Bally Sports RSNs. The Lightning signed a rights deal with Bally Sports Sun earlier this month, sources said. Sources added that the Hurricanes and Ducks are close to finalizing extensions with Bally Sports South and Bally Sports SoCal, respectively.

I noticed the height as well. Rico is listed as 6'0 (might be 5'11). But the difference between Dry and Fowler is still there obv (Fowler listed as 6'2)

If it brings back the Mighty Ducks logo permanently, and throws out the Ducks foot, will he happy.
Ah bad wording. I meant that it sounds like they are just adding an alternative set, it doesn't say they will do any changes to the current home-away set

Edit: saw another tweet they say it will be new home away set.

So hilarious. I've never met a single person in my entire life that likes the D logo over the old one... And I've been in locker rooms having this discussion for over 10 years lol
