This is the fancystat-ification of punditry. It's a joke that anyone would value a player who looks bad on particular chart or spreadsheet.

Conversely, the same sites CTP uses to degrade Grant was used to uber-praise Sprong. It's as if we're watching the same screen, but seeing two different movies. CTP places a lot of value on fancy expected stats than what they see. It was hilarious seeing CTP get their thoughts humbled when they started hosting actual scouts on their channel... or maybe CTP was being polite because they're back to their old ways after hosting the scouting rounds.

Was hoping to see Regenda come up some time this season before it’s over.
Need a forward injury or trade, unfortunately. That’s been the most annoying part of this season for me, the inability to bring up prospects.

I feel doubtful that it will change much after the trade deadline, unless we lose Henrique, Grant, and 1-2 of Jones/Comtois.

Yeah I was not sure of the rule. Stupid NHL, BS. I thought maybe post TDL can give some of these kids a look.

We have three D signed next year (Fowler, Vaaks, White) with two RFAs (Drysdale, Benoit). And with the notion we're going to try to extend Shatty, it'll make it 6 roster spots. How are the Ducks going to bring in youths if we sign more FA D vets? Anaheim needs to have spots open to slowly integrate some youths on the blue line next year.

Maybe White gets waived to start next season if two youths show more promise than White and Vaaks.

I think there will be roster player dumps coming back in the trades for those guys that will keep the roster inflexible.

I think it's just that Stephens and Dillman prefer to save information for their articles (though Dillman will sometimes tweet stuff out). Derek is definitely way more new-school in that regard.
Makes sense given that both work for paid subscription outlets.

I thought Dillman was doing pretty great when she started covering the team but has since quieted down a bit.

It's frustrating being a fan of a small market team with such limited coverage.
