He wasn't close to as good as Tippett in his D+3 in the AHL,How is comparing Tippett and Frost a double standard? No one thinks Frost has excelled at the NHL level, right? He needs to showcase himself as an impact offensive player. But their career contexts, and what skills have translated in isolate, aren't remotely similar.
He was the best player on his AHL team in his D+3. He missed an entire season in his D+4. His D+5, coming off injury, was disappointing, albeit with moments of brilliance later on, on a total train wreck of a team
"best player" on his team is cute, like who else was on that team?
Vorobyev, Sushko, Kase, Ratcliffe, Rubtsov, Twarynski.
The veterans, O'Reilly, Andreoff, Carey.
If Frost wasn't heads and shoulders better (and he wasn't) than that group . . .
