I’m sure they’ll change it if he makes the roster. That or wait til next season. Stankoven is 57, Mavrik 45.. Not very sexy numbers.
That’s sort of the thing tho. Players getting actual consideration usually get the good numbers straight away

Typically yes. I believe there has been a number change before the season though. Maybe it was Janmark? Different team but Zegras didn’t change his number until this season.

Stars had players with wierd numbers make the team before. For example Roussell wore #60 until the Stars traded Louie to the Bruins

That’s true too. But it was before Nill era right?

IRC Gaglardi doesn't like higher jersey numbers . If the kids make the roster they'll sooner or later get numbers that don't anger the owner.

He definitely had a different number in training camp lol. I don’t think he was at training camp the previous season.

No, Nill traded for Janmark.

Ah ok..

I could be wrong but I think Harley might have changed his number… Grushnikov has 55 on his helmet on the Stars twitter pics.
Pretty sure Grush is 59. Unless a recent change

The only half decent number among the prospects is #71 from Stranges and i don't think he'll be allowed to keep that either if he becomes a NHL regular. Bourques #45 is at least in the acceptable range of what NHL regulars on the Stars in the Gaglardi era have worn.

Give Bourque 22 since it’s available!

It’s a number, who the hell really cares

Let players wear whatever they want

Well the team owner cares so high numbers are not allowed unless its specifically asked for and the player in question most likely is a star player.

It’s called getting annoyed by arbitrary reasons until hockej season begins.

Don’t take our fun away.

Is it normal for players to attend their junior training camps before the NHL one begins? Even if they want to contend for a roster spot (Stankoven?)

I noticed Stankoven, White, Morrison, etc. Are all at their junior camps right now but Johnston, Grushnikov, and some others aren't

Very normal. The only game Jesper Bratt ever played for the London Knights was a preseason game before he made the Devils out of NHL camp.
