Not sure I've ever been lacing up my skates and thought "geez...i wish I had more ankle flex".

With the low boot style of goalie skates I'd probably say it's fine just where it is. And i wore ankle braces! Lol

The Bauer Konekt skates are too much for me, cost wise. I still use Vaughn skates and use velcro fasteners instead of laces. It takes a good deal of strain off my feet and allows me to lean forward more without constraints. The Konekt skates have a lot more advancements in that regard and I think more goalies will switch to the newer technology considering how many goalies fully use the RVH technique. It makes good sense to switching to reduce injuries and give yourself some advantage in goalie movement on the ice. It's just a matter of goalies willing to switch, even though they are comfortable to use what's worked for them in the past.

They're not nearly as expensive as I thought they would be. They're going for just under $1k in Canada, which is, like, $500 less than the most expensive True skate. Still too expensive for me as well, but I thought they would set the bar cost-wise.

Seattles logo and colors are easily top 5 in the NHL. Far better than any team that's joined the NHL in the past 15 years.

Wait 1 more full year and the first generation will go in clearance for around 500$
