So Cal
Hamilton was in his face all night. They constantly tried to prevent him from getting anything on net. He took plenty of cheapshots and kept on rolling. 1 g 3 a on the night. 3 g 7 a in 2 playoff games after leading the entire OHL in points per game in the regular season.

And he's a defenceman. Unreal.

pretty cool to see 2 of the 5 being Kings draftees and one looking like an absolute monster.

So Cal

Hard to find OHL video but looks like Clarke took a cheap shot, wasnt hurt and stayed in the game an then threw a knee later in the game and was ejected. Hard to find OHL video and the official video doesnt include either clip.

Very crazy goal review going on in the Barrie/Hamilton game. The puck is clearly seen approaching the goalie, and it seems to be goings towards the crook of his arm. Then a few frames later, the puck is popping out of the top corner out of the post.

It shows no path for how the puck went from the arm of the goalie to popping out of the top corner.

It was eventually called no goal, but it was definitely something.

Colts losing 2-0 after the first. Clarke is a plus-0, but he was on the ice for a powerplay goal against (I didn't see it as I was finishing work). Barrie currently leads the series 3-2.

Colts now down 3-0. Neither Clarke nor his partner picked up on the player who was entering the zone with speed; the forward split the D, and just broke away from the both of them. Well-earned minus.

It's also something that happens at the NHL level, if anyone thinks this is an opinion on whether or not it's disqualifying to play in the NHL.

Clarke draws the team closer, 3-1, as he wrists a shot from the point on the powerplay. Beautifully simple shot.

Though he kinda went overboard with the celebration. On top of doing the fist pumps, he put his glove up to his ear and looked around at the crowd.

Edit: before the powerplay, Clarke did get in the face of a Bulldogs player who grabbed his teammate. I know sticking up for teammates is a big thing among Kings fans - hopefully he shows more of that gusto.

Aaaaand it's tied.

Clarke now with goal and an assist.
The tying goal was woefully very flukey. Cardwell did a spin-around no-look backhand pass to the front of the net. The Bulldogs defender reached with his stick to redirect it away, but he directed it into the net.

I felt that poor kid's soul leave his body.

Exciting ending for the game. Colts took a 4-3 lead, and then Hamilton tied it up with just a few minutes left. Then Clarke gets a secondary assist on the game-winning goal scored with just 10 seconds left.

Credit to Ethan Cardwell who got the hat trick though. The corner was picked and the goalie couldn't stop it.

Colts play the Battalion in round 2.

Francesco Pinelli and the Rangers play London in Round 2.

Hamilton, ON
Guy has like four different personalities haha

Excellent and composed on camera, w/media
Too much fun around teammates
Absolute asshole to play against
Quite a bit smug/cocky

love it

Indeed. I was at game 6 the other night and when he scored he give the quiet gesture to the crowd and then when they started booing her raised his hands to signal them to get louder. Haha.

I thought he had a solid series. Still some things defensively to work on but his offensive prowess is elite.

Better D will come quickly with a NHL d man on his left side. Every D I’ve ever spoken to says it’s far easier playing with an experienced player, one whose game they understand.

Looks like Pinelli is out for the Kitchener Rangers is he hurt or suspended? Rangers about to go 0-2 against the Knights.

Aatu Jamsen is in the Liiga final; they dropped game 1, 5-1. They beat Kasper Simontaival's team in the second round, 4-3.

Pinelli and the Rangers are also against the ropes. They are down 3-1 against the London Knights.

Not surprisingly, since we've not talked about him, Kaleb Lawrence is also out (the Owen Sound Attack lost to the Knights 4-0 in the first round).

Angus Booth was also in the playoffs and went out in the first round 4-1.

Jack Sparkes' team will not qualify for the playoffs. He ended the USHL season with 55 GP, 1 G, 7 A, 8 Pts, minus-6, and 138 PIM (4th in the league). He's still committed to play for Michigan State next season.

So, barring a miracle comeback from Kitchener, there's one prospect/team to root for outside of the NHL playoffs (not including anyone they pick at the upcoming draft, but we don't know who that is yet.)

Angus Booth for what it's worth 1G 4A in 5 playoff games. Not too shabby

I just want someone on the team named Angus. And I want him to be a hothead, so we can discuss his Angus Management issues.

Also, shoutout to the people tracking all these prospects & keeping us updated. Much appreciated.
The Scotsman in me will refer to him as ‘wee Angus’… I don’t care how big he is.
