I was looking at some stats last night as well and while not 100% it seems the trend of higher scoring is in the AHL as well. ***I have done no analysis on it, just quick look at scorers***B Sens have given up 54 goals in 13 games, 4.15 GA/GP
They scored 44 goals so -10 goal differential despite being 6-6-1
They bleed way too many goals against. Only the Monsters and the Griffins seem to be as bad defensively
Edit : our prospects have good stats so far though (* Rookies)
Sokolov 12 pts in 13 GP
Greig* 8 pts in 9 GP
Lodin* 5 pts in 6 GP
Daoust* 5 pts in 6 GP
Crookshank* 9 pts in 13 GP
Jarventie 5 pts in 8 GP
Reinhardt 8 pts in 13 GP
Thomson 8 pts in 13 GP
Guenette 4 pts in 13 GP
Rubins 4 pts in 13 GP
JBD 1 pt in 8 GP (only one with the big club at the moment)
It seems the parent team the Ottawa Senators & their farm team the Belleville Senators have that in common, both make way too many mistakes & give the puck away with regularity & allow to many goals against. If both teams could ever improve their defensive game both teams would be much better & both likely would be playoff teams, it seems like the only thing stopping them is their shoddy defensive play.B Sens have given up 54 goals in 13 games, 4.15 GA/GP

Lajoie played for head coach Troy Mann for a portion of his tenure with Belleville, and cites him as a strong influence in his development.
“I would say [Mann] was really one of the best coaches I’ve had,” Lajoie said. “He taught me how to be a good pro on and off the ice. Just the way he carried himself as a coach, he was very approachable, and he was kind of a player’s coach at the same time. But you had a bunch of respect for him because he just wants you to work hard. He was amazing.”
Hoping its Formenton. All the hype around Motte and Joseph really hasn't materialized into what we saw in preseason.I suspect it is a move made to facilitate another move; perhaps Formenton will be signed and/or traded soon.
