Roster Notes: for Toronto Marlies game tonight
Head Coach Troy Mann is icing an identical lineup to Friday, including in net, where Mads Søgaard will start on back-to-back nights for the first time this season. There’s been no change to Belleville’s injury list, with Roby Jarventie (week-to-week, knee), Viktor Lodin (week-to-week, ankle), Phil Daoust (day-to-day, shoulder), Jayce Hawryluk (week-to-week, wrist), Antoine Bibeau (day-to-day, groin) and Jonathan Aspirot (month-to-month, offseason shoulder surgery) all out injured. Cedric Pare will be a healthy scratch again tonight. It’s hoped that Daoust and Bibeau could be ready to return next week.
Who to Watch:
Rourke Chartier continues to pace Belleville’s offence, scoring twice last night, with the second being his team-leading sixth goal of the season. The Saskatoon, SK native will need to continue with his goal scoring touch and his relentless work around the net and boards, if Belleville want to find success tonight.
The Senators will also have to slow down an old friend in former captain Logan Shaw, who signed a three-year AHL deal with Toronto in the offseason. The 30-year-old from Glace Bay, NS has scored five goals in his last two games, including a hat trick and the overtime winner in Laval on Friday night, and is second in the Marlies scoring race with 12 points (six goals, six assists).
