Roster Notes: for Toronto Marlies game tonight

Head Coach Troy Mann is icing an identical lineup to Friday, including in net, where Mads Søgaard will start on back-to-back nights for the first time this season. There’s been no change to Belleville’s injury list, with Roby Jarventie (week-to-week, knee), Viktor Lodin (week-to-week, ankle), Phil Daoust (day-to-day, shoulder), Jayce Hawryluk (week-to-week, wrist), Antoine Bibeau (day-to-day, groin) and Jonathan Aspirot (month-to-month, offseason shoulder surgery) all out injured. Cedric Pare will be a healthy scratch again tonight. It’s hoped that Daoust and Bibeau could be ready to return next week.

Who to Watch:

Rourke Chartier continues to pace Belleville’s offence, scoring twice last night, with the second being his team-leading sixth goal of the season. The Saskatoon, SK native will need to continue with his goal scoring touch and his relentless work around the net and boards, if Belleville want to find success tonight.

The Senators will also have to slow down an old friend in former captain Logan Shaw, who signed a three-year AHL deal with Toronto in the offseason. The 30-year-old from Glace Bay, NS has scored five goals in his last two games, including a hat trick and the overtime winner in Laval on Friday night, and is second in the Marlies scoring race with 12 points (six goals, six assists).

Follow the action:

Heard live on the Belleville Sens Entertainment Network. Pregame coverage starts at 6:45 p.m. (ET) with David Foot and Brock Ormond.

TSN Turning point was Greig with a great play to split the D and go in alone shorthanded but fanning on his shot when we were down 3-2.

Immediately after he takes a double minor for high sticking and BSens are short 2. Marlies score to go up 4-2.

Game over.

Can’t wait to have Greig on that 3rd line, if we lose Formenton it’s good to know we have someone who can play the same depth in lineup

Belleville Sens sign defenceman Nick Albano to professional tryout offer

NICK ALBANO

Roster Notes: for tonights game with Syracuse

The Senators left six players back in Belleville due to injury, for this short trip. Roby Jarventie (week-to-week), Jonathan Aspirot (week-to-week), Jayce Hawryluk (week-to-week), Viktor Lodin (day-to-day), Kevin Mandolese (day-to-day) and Cory Conacher (timeline TBD) are all home getting treatment for various injuries. Philippe Daoust will return to Belleville’s lineup tonight, after missing the last seven games due to injury and Antoine Bibeau is back as well, after missing six games. He’ll back up Mads Søgaard, with Xavier Bernard being the Sens only healthy scratch tonight. The Senators will also add Nick Albano on the back end this evening, after signing a PTO from the Sens ECHL affiliate, the Allen Americans.

Not sure how serious the Sogaard injury is but he was helped off the ice and put no weight on his leg. Didn't see a replay but he was grabbing his knee after what looked like a slash in that area. Expecting this one to heat up, was a needless play by the Crunch player after Sogaard played the puck.
