Letang has seemingly gotten better as he's aged. Obviously the regression will happen at some point but I don't think the Penguins give a f*** if the regression happens in years 4/5/6 because by that time Crosby is 37/38 and they are not competing.

That's a great AAV for Letang, I don't think they care about the term since their window to compete is the next 2-3 years.

That's really the whole thing... the window is really closed, but this is the last grasp of it. Pretty much zero chance Letang finishes that contract.

I've been saying average goaltending can win us Cups but I'm just not a fan of Georgiev. He's an average goaltending AND has a horrible attitude.
