Fair, that's my bad. I don't know why I assumed he was older than he is.Gibson isn't in the twilight of his career. He's still only 28, 3 years younger than Kuemper.

But they lose a top 4 DmanTampa playing the salary cap game again. No doubt they'll buy out Myers to get the 671k cap credit for this year.
They basically just freed up 7.3M in cap space for this year, enough for the Paul extension and a Palat extension.
They basically "traded" Mcdonagh for Palat.Just some smart GM work. They do lose a good player regardless.

Yea WTF is Poile trying to do with his team? And they are happy about it. McDonagh contract is a disaster any minute now.
Wait till he signs Forsberg for $9M for 8 years. They will be SJ Sharks in 2 years.Yea WTF is Poile trying to do with his team?
I swear this guy is the worst GM in the league but no one is paying attention.

They got the good years out of that contract and now are trading the bad ones to someone else for free.Tampa feel they got the best out of McDonagh and it’s downhill from here.
Been that was since the Turris debacle.Yea WTF is Poile trying to do with his team?

Not only Tampa didn't take money back in exchange for Nashville to take the upcoming bad years of McDonagh's contract but they also got cap credit. I'd say they did pretty damn well!!!I’m still shocked that McDonagh waived his NTC. Based off the return he didn’t give JBB many other options, but you’d have to think staying in Tampa would’ve been his preference unless he’s tired of making deep runs.
