It's games like today that convince me that were not winning the Stanley Cup. Our guys don't want to win it. They get by on skill but don't put in the work necessary to win tough battles. The other team has to be toothless for us to look like a contender, the moment a team resists or even skates fast that is it for us. And people rarely come up clutch in those situations. This was a playoff preview. This is a game we had to win. We were supposed to win this and catch them, and overtake them. And send a psychological warming. Instead were the ones warned that we can't skate with them. They are not even that talented but they are hungry and we have a bunch of millionaires that are just happy to live like millionaires in Manhattan and happen to play hockey. I don't see them on a mission to bring a championship to this lousy starved franchise. It's f***ing pathetic. A team that plays in a shithole in Newark who celebrates titles in parking lots has more fight than we do. I am disgusted.

its a regular season game. coulda gone either way. this wasn't a game that mattered all that much. woulda been nice to win, doesn't make much difference to lose. were also missing easily one of our most important dmen and had one of the worst skaters in the league in the lineup because of it. that cost them. it happens, take a deep breath. a playoff series is an entirely different animal.

we were 4-0 against tampa n the reg season last year too. that went well.

Othmann, Korczak teams sweep
Grubbe, Barbashev teams up 3-1 series
Boyko finally got a start vs powerhouse Seattle, stopped 35 of 38 and earned 2nd Star, but lost 3-0, series is a sweep, Boyko likely to Pack (or Jax if eligible) within days

I will update the sheet and share in morning

I’m at the Frozen 4 now and Lamb has been solid. It’s clear he has skill but is not quite strong enough to do what he wants to do.

Holy shit is Matthew Knies good. And Logan Cooley is a stud.

Lane Hutson of BU is going to be a legit offensive d-man in the NHL. He’s elusive with the puck and makes good reads.

Luke Tuch is physical but needs refinement to his game it appears. Probably a long term project.

Nik Bobrov is here. Saw him walking around on the concourse. Almost asked him about Lias and Kravtsov…

hutson is so, so good. what a fumble by anyone that passed on him after like 10?

knies was impressive....he hasn't always impressed me, granted i haven't seen a ton, but he's an interesting cat as an nhl projection. he flashes some high end skating, skill, and is a beast of a big boy, but its like he never seems to put it all together. can see an outside chance he becomes a legit 60+ pt guy but feels more like a vesey of this year.

i really like lamb's potential. he's really light on his feet and moves around the ice well. very smart positioning but at least right now can tell he's almost entirely focused on not getting caught behind the play. makes smart plays with the puck on his stick but doesn't take much risk and still needs to get stronger. tons of potential there if he gains the confidence to take on a leading role in the next 2 years.
