I compare the whole thing to the two line pass rule, 1 percent might care about the change in any meaningful way and the rest will just move on and enjoy the show.

I don't think any change would allow teams to collapse more than they already do now. Only so much prime real estate in front of the net.
The smaller ice though, even collapsed, they are still close to the puck carrier and thus more willing to force the play. Hence the higher intensity of the game.

I suppose the same argument could be made to clog up the neutral zone if that makes things better its hard to say.

Tip of the cap to the Gophers. Better team won. Huskies played pretty well, but couldn't get much going offensively. Credit to Gophers D.

I have become a believer in Peart. He looked vg out there.
Agree. Interesting in the Russo article he stated that Peart will return to St Cloud this fall. Wonder if he wants to chase a title or if he sees a log jam of D prospects and wants options?

There’s no room for him.

NHL: Brodin, Middleton, Merill, Goligoski
AHL: Lambos, Hunt, O’Rourke

Unless Lambos won’t be in the AHL?

He’s a year younger than Faber, and has Brodin, Middleton, Merrill , Goligoski, Hunt, and ROR all ahead of him, and Lambos will be playing AHL. He’s better off waiting a year, IMO.

Oops…just saw DB’s answer.

Not disagreeing with that and would be my general consensus as well, my fear would be he sees that log jam and wants a different opportunity elsewhere. He’s a far better prospect than a guy like McBain was, and if he has a clearer path elsewhere who knows.. that would be my concern.
