Needs to get stronger before he turns pro, i don't think the AHL would be a great idea next season. He has the brain, IQ and talent for it but his body is not there yet.
Even if he gets a bit stronger next year (wherever he plays, by the way), he will ALWAYS have to play very smart for his whole career in order to be effective defensively. I think he should start that process as soon as possible. i think it will take two years in Laval, whether or not he plays another year at Boston U.

I would expect to see Mailloux in Laval next season.

Same here. He's eligible. And I think Habs would rather have him somewhere where they can have a hands on approach to his development.

Mailloux, Struble, Trudeau, Fairbrother, Norlinder, Beaudin (I expect Habs to qualify and sign him), and Tourigny.

And I think they'll bring back guys like Schueneman, Dello & Galipeau.

Though I do not really expect it, I would like to see Hutson in Laval for 1-2 years starting next year. I don't think he has much to learn in the NCAA.

I think with Mailloux, Struble & Tourigny next year here, they'll let Hutson continue his development in NCAA. I expect Hutson to be signed the following year, though. When he'll be 6'3" and 210 lbs. ;)

JF Houle on Leroux' podcast saying that he doesn't expect to see the guys that have been called up to return with the injury situation Habs are in and the TDL nearing.

A lot more time to bulk up in the NCAA versus AHL.

Is Tourigny expected to be in Laval next season?

If he's expected? I don't know. I expect them to bring him over. They don't need to sign him to an ELC. They can follow the RHP/Simoneau path by signing him to an AHL deal since they still have another year before they have to sign him.

But they could very well let him play another year in Europe before bringing him over.

Belleville fired their coach Troy Mann last night after a 5-3 win. Very odd since Mann has been good for the Sens and the development of their prospects for years. Guys like Batherson, Norris, Formenton, most recently Greig, even Parker Kelly have all gone through Belleville with Mann and they all went up to Ottawa and established themselves.

Maybe the Sens felt like Belleville was underachieving this year, but the truth is, they're still a few points from a playoff spot. So it is an odd decision, especially mid-season.

Sure seems fishy, there might be some off ice issues related to that .
