Well after all the good news of some of the returns, there is one news that is a little discouraging. Abbandonato is listed day-to-day. So hopefully it's something minor and he doesn't miss much. Guy's been a stud for Laval.

How has Vrbetic been this season so far, both in Laval and 3R?

They're going on a 3-game road trip after tonight. With Dello, Bowey, and Leskinen hurt and Barron in Montreal, they need an extra body for the road trip because now they only have 6D (Beaudin, Schueneman, Trudeau, Norlinder, Sentorame & Galipeau).

Just saw Nicolas Beaudin has 13 points in 15 games with Laval, also leading the team at +9

I'm guessing he get called up at the next injury

5 pts in his last 2 games.
Curious if he can get another call up if the Habs move a few vets (Drouin, Monahan, Dadonov) at the deadline.

13 career NHL games for the 31 year old. Can he hit 20 this year?

Any chance Stapley gets a call up to Laval or are they already overflowing with forwards? His ECHL stats seem pretty decent.

Richard, Belzile and Pitlick in the AHL hot 15 for points in the last 10 games. Now if the team could only win on a regular basis...

Richard 6-11-17
Pitlick 4-12-16
Belzile 8-5-13

Would much rather have Pitlick and or Richard brought up, younger guys that might still be NHL players

Laval just sent up two forwards on emnergency recall. I expect at least one callup from TR, but not Stapley who is uinjured.

Has Norlinder been as bad as his offensive numbers suggest?

If a year and half ago someone told me we'd have 5 rookie D play for us this year, and not one was Norlinder, I would've been shocked.

He adapted his style quite a bit with Laval and his offensive game did suffer, especially if you saw him in the Allsvenskan, where he was playing like a 4th forward at times. I'd say he's at a point now where he's a perfectly fine AHL level Dman, which is probably a bit underwhelming. He has one year left on his ELC though, he'll get another chance next season to show that he can be more than that.

he started out on the PP, then was taken off, lately he's been back on the 2nd pairing.
Starting to think if he has a future in the NHL it will be less as a potential offensive dman and more of a two-way guy that chips in a few points here and there.

Going to get to see them live in March, brother got tickets for me, himself and my nephew and I think our dad as a Christmas present. Afternoon game against Utica.

To put it short he is working on his game by expanding on it? The offense maybe reinjected later.

for me he's always been a boom or bust type, the offense has flashed but until he shows he can produce more and consistently. He'll never make the NHL though if he doesn't shake this skating at half speed crap.

That part is especially weird because with MODO he was flying on the ice, just constant motion. It must really be a mental thing.

So I didn't get the chance to watch Laval's game last night. But they won 5-2 vs. Rochester.

Goals by:
- Belzile (12th) assisted by Richard
- Bourque (8) assisted by Centorame (his 1st career AHL point)
- Richard (19th) on the PP assisted by Belzile & Abbandonato
- Condotta (11th) assisted by Trudeau & Abbandonato
- Belzile (13th) shorthanded empty net goal unassisted

Goals:

Here is a huge save by Poulin:

Also today, Laval sent Vrbetic back to 3R.

I don't know if Vrbetic being sent down means Primeau will be sent back to Laval, which could signal Allen's return.

But yesterday, they said Allen will be out at least another week. So he's clearly not going to be back tonight, which means Primeau will still be with Montreal. Laval has a back-to-back tomorrow and Saturday.

This could mean they will call Desrosiers up from 3R. And they wanted Vrbetic down with 3R to get more games.
