Yeah, definitely need to add to that..

I'm still grumpy about us signing Names this offseason, things could have been way easier at this point of the season if we signed someone actually useful

Kubalik was probably the guy he should've signed, for the same cap hit, instead of Names. It would've been interesting as well had they kept McD and accepted the additional asset or two as a cost to probably move him after this season. For this season though, McD+Koepke/another Syracuse promotion/ufa signing around 950k vs Cole+Names+no Myers, does make you wonder sometimes how the team would look.

Sean Durzi is a name that jumps out to me, hes only 24, hes a RHD, has this year and next at 1.7m, has 33 points this year and will be an RFA at the end of his contract. LA has a ton of dmen especially after adding Gavrikov. they also have some young talent struggling to stick in the NHL like Alex Turcotte. They have room to take some cap back if need be.
Sending down PEB would open up space for Durzi, A package of Howard and our 2025 2nd and an AHL guy like Fortier or Koepke for Durzi and one of their struggling forwards like Turcotte or Kupari wouldnt be bad at all

I think you guys have a little bit of false hope. JBB basically said they were done yesterday during intermission. I'm sure things can change, but I believe him. There's just not much they can do, and what is a 6-7th defenseman gonna do for this group anyway.

He said the same thing last year, and then we ended up with Paul.

I highly doubt we have anything LA will want to move Durzi. They have like 5M+ in deadline space. They want immediate help for this year. That's not going to be us at all.

We are going to be looking at the bottom of the league. Someone like Bortuzzo.

JBB says a lot of things. He also said the same thing after the Hagel trade last year. Depending on who the dman is, they could provide considerable help as either a better partner for Hedman or even allowing Cole to.move to the right. They'd also bring more depth to a unit lacking much of it.

Can they turn it on come playoffs, maybe. But it's looking like there's not much gas left in the tank. I want a quick exit so they can actually have an off season. The east is way too stacked this year to make any noise

brisebois does make things interesting but i wouldn’t mind being like carolina and getting undervalued players for cheap

Chychrun is going to end up in Columbus with all these other d-men moving.
Imagine how sad that would be for him.

To the media:
"Yeah I'm happy about the opportunity to start fresh with this organization. It's a great opportunity for myself and I can't wait to join this group."

Knowing full well all he did was go to the Arizona in the east..

Puljujärvi is the better analytical player and both have the same amount of goals and points this year. puljujärvi was just the 4th overall pick so he is considered a disappointment which has lowered his value to a ridiculous degree. i guess if jeannot gets back to last year’s totals he is the better player but that’s not guaranteed
