They haven't played them like that, but this is also the first full season of Woodcroft. He may not operate in the same manner. Also, Holloway if he clicks finally gives them enough top 6 wings that they shouldn't have to condense.

Center depth is elite but Wingers not so much IMO.
I actually think I take our winger counterpart over every Edmonton Winger:
Mikko > Kane
Landy > Hyman
Lehky > Poolparty
Nuke > Holloway
ERod > Foegle
JTC > McCleod
Mind you every Edmonton Center is better then the Avs counter and Draisaitl over Newhook is a particularly laughable comparison.
Honestly overall I think the forwards are still fairly close. I'm really not sold on Edmonton as a top contender at all. The Defense is awful and I think the forwards are overrated. IMO if Markstrom doesn't implode this year, Calgary will make quick work of them in whatever round they face off.

I mean, they had those same three as centers last year, and before Woodcroft took over, they were slumping and outside of the playoff picture. Are we sure that Woodcroft will still get the kind of positive response from the team? Are we sure that Campbell will solidify the goaltending considering that many months last season he had a SV% that started with an 8?

I don’t disagree with the winger assessment. I would say that Edmonton has better depth up front than Colorado, considering their running a 40 point winger on their 4th line though.
Colorado probably off-sets that somewhat with what they do at the deadline though. The Avs just need to be relatively close upfront and then Makar and the defence can make the difference, providing Georgiev isn’t awful.
McDavid always feasts on Calgary. I don’t see this playoff being any different, if those two teams meet up again. Calgary’s forward depth isn’t even better than Edmonton’s tbh, and they don’t have the McDavid, or Draisaitl’s upfront.
Maybe I’m giving their defence too much credit, but I think it can be average, playing behind that offence. I’m expecting them to add a defenceman at the deadline, much like Colorado will add upfront.

I mean I don't think he's an elite goalie by any means but I think he's good enough to win a cup with. Also he's done well in basically every series outside the EDM one.
