I liked Kuemper for 80% of the regular season. Despised him the playoffs more than any goalie before him including Grubauer. I think the last Avs goalie I truly liked was Craig Anderson.

I always liked Varlamov. Worked hard and never gave up.
Injuries were simply out of his control.

The only reason I turned on Varly. Very irrational reason. Same thing with Griffey when he went to the Reds haha.

I hated Anderson. But yeah we have had a long history sans Roy of mediocre league average goalies. I thought Anderson was really over rated. I also hated the way he quit on the team when contract negotiations for an extension weren’t going well.

1) Karlsson is the greatest defensemen of all time, his ability to carry the Ottawa Senators while being the only player on the ice, playing against all 20 members of the other team at one time, impossible to replicate
2) Adam Fox is the greatest defensemen of all time, he is Ray Lewis defensively and Rafael Nadal offensively. Generational talent.
3) Rape and racism are totally okay if you're one of the bros!
4) I don't want to live on the same planet as some of the people on the main boards

I’d argue that saying Fox defends like Nadal would be a better analogy. But other than that I see no issues with these points

I mean, Nadal is so good basically everywhere, one could say he's tennis' equivalent of Adam Fox. Did you know that Adam Fox defends as savagely as a honey badger, and attacks with the swiftness of a peregrine falcon?

I should clarify. I liked Anderson year 1. The Avs dont come close to making the playoffs let alone taking 2 games from the Sharks if not for him. Year 2....not much of a fan. I liked Aebischer for half of the first season he became a starter. Avs had an All star forward group with a bad coach and a bad goalie.

I liked Varly, but he was highly overrated for a long time. He has had a couple good seasons, but for the most part he's been an absurdly talented goalie that played well below his ability the majority of the time. Last goalie on the Avs that I truly loved was Abby, and that was just me being young and dumb.
