I'd also take a Canes/Devils series @henchman24. What a 3rd and OT this has been.
Miller had a bad rep stretching back to his Rangers days. Maybe some amplification going on but not much.I mean part of it is I'm sure. I'm not saying Miller isn't a douche. He is a douche. Just that it's amplified due to the off ice issues and roster construction in Vancouver.
Yup… few good series that could be had with the devils. They push a real fun brand of hockey.I'd also take a Canes/Devils series @henchman24. What a 3rd and OT this has been.
He finished answering the question with "I don't give a....I don't care"Miller flippantly dismissed any criticism in about the douchiest way possible.

Sure didn't sound like he's gonna change anytime soon. They are screwed.
I'd take him for one playoff run at 50% of his current contract (5.25 AAV).And this is why the guy has been traded twice and in all likelihood will be traded a 3rd time fairly soon.
You don't win with players like J.T. Miller. He's as "me first" as they come.
Pretty sure that's impossible anyways, you can't retain just one year of a contract. If the Canucks retain 50% it'd be for another 7 years.I'd take him for one playoff run at 50% of his current contract (5.25 AAV).
But like I said, before the trade I'd need a handshake agreement with a 3rd team (and Miller) to have a place to ship him next summer. I want no part of that 7 X 8M contract.
That's obviously as unlikely as it gets.
Those are 2 different contracts though. They'd only retain on the last year of his current contract (that one expires at the end of the season).Pretty sure that's impossible anyways, you can't retain just one year of a contract. If the Canucks retain 50% it'd be for another 7 years.
There have been many 'me first' players that have won titles, and plenty of assholes who have too. That wouldn't bother me all that much about Miller... what bothers me is his inconsistent efforts, especially defensively.
This is an absolute gem of a deal.
The rep was there but it was never to this level. It's clearly being amplified due to the whole situation in VAN. Again not saying he's a saint but you can easily win with guys like that, they just can't be the main leader in the locker room.Miller had a bad rep stretching back to his Rangers days. Maybe some amplification going on but not much.

In the league 2 years, already hosting the Winter Classic.
I didn't think it was cold enough in Seattle during the winter to do outdoor games.
If it's anything like Vancouver it's rainy as f*** during the winter with humidity cranked up to 10.If they can do outdoor games in California, Nevada (though that one was obviously a tad problematic), and Texas, they can certainly do one in the Pacific Northwest. I think the humidity presents a bigger obstacle than the temperature, but that could be probably be mitigated.

They can keep the dome closed until game day… unless it rains, it’ll be fine thereIf they can do outdoor games in California, Nevada (though that one was obviously a tad problematic), and Texas, they can certainly do one in the Pacific Northwest.
