ROR was a 1C. Lower end maybe but he was a 1C. The guy won the Smythe that year so he did something right that run.
Lol i've had no real issues with JTC this season minus his dad putting him on PP1 but we aint going to win a cup with JTC as 2C for an entire run unless Mackinnon and Makar go absolutely crazy.

Hope Skinner's career path doesn't follow that of Mikko Koskinen, but it feels like it's trending that way. Started out as the backup, outplayed the starter, received a lucrative extension, and promptly went in the tank.
I imagine this takes care of any remorse Avs fans may have about the organization moving on from him.
I honestly feel terrible for the guy. Clawed and scraped his way into the NHL, was rewarded a roster spot, and is now being torn to shreds behind the worst defensive team in hockey, not to mention most dysfunctional franchise. Much as we lampooned poor Hunter Miska, that was 100% on the Avs overestimating what they had in him instead of hedging their bets and getting a fallback option. Canucks should have done the same, wouldn't have been that hard.

Meh. They’re okay. I’m super-bummed they didn’t bring back that blue jersey in some variation. I mean, they DID, twice now, but it wasn’t blue either time. That was a magnificent color scheme. The black is…meh.
I also don’t care for that eagle logo. Looks like a kid drew it.

OT...but I've just read another article where a goalie, in this case Elvis, is talking about how he sucks at his job. I am not attempting to defend his play by this season by any stretch. I do wonder though, with scoring rising across the league should we and how would we adjust our views on goalies to accomodate for this? Or do we just chalk up all the extra goals to the goalies getting worse and sucking at their jobs?
The whole Elvis thing was just that I'm seeing another athlete being robbed of all confidence and man, I hate to see players struggle like this.

They gotta get a legit power play QB. They also gotta find a dumping ground for Bob’s horrid contract, or send him to Robidas Island.
I mean, Zito is a pretty resourceful guy, he could make a trade work. It just depends on what ownership is willing to let him do.
Can’t help but think the Cats’ Cup aspirations were derailed the moment Q stepped down. Ever since then they’ve pretty much made all bad decisions.

I know he's done a lot for the team. But they missed their shot at the cup and now they're mired in mediocrity. Time to go in a new direction I would think.
