Pretty sure Barkov has been remarkably healthy the last couple seasons, no?
And the answer to that question is Ekblad.

Torts thinks that it's more important for the team in the long run that the players play the right way than to have players making points while cheating.
He's right and IMO he should be coaching Edmonton.

The Huberdeau/Tkachuk trade is looking like a lose-lose so far.
Bednar might not be a outward dick like Trots, but he definitely takes his forwards playing a defensive game very seriously. Our whole system is built upon responsible wingers and active defensemen. When our forwards don't play well defensively their ice time starts going down. And if you're a rookie that does it, straight to the AHL.Don’t ever let Torts anywhere near Edmonton. Or do since that’ll lead to Connor finally putting in that trade request everyone’s wondered about for years.
Torts is a good coach. He’s also an overly spiteful dickhead who wears out his welcome in a hurry. Ya really gotta scratch Hayes against his former team, dude? Really? Obviously didn’t do anything to help them. I suppose he had his reasons, but I’m glad the Avs have a coach who does the exact opposite of that.

Bednar seems consistent to younger players by communicating what they need to work on and actually giving them a chance. It's one of the things that makes Bednar so great. He's very demanding and hates when they play out of structure but is also seen as more of a players coach because of the way he approaches it. Torts is just a jackass and might be one and done again like in Vancouver.
Not really, he told the girl to "take care of Player 1". They later had consensual sex. It went south after that...the man wasn't involved.Seems to indicate that Hockey Canada is not only responsible for attempting to cover up the rape, but someone representing them was also directly culpable of the incident itself.
Yeah it looks dirty AF.Ovi was likely hunting Timmins. He'd (accidentally?) slewfooted Ovi earlier.
(Edit: getting my ex Avs mixed up. It was Kerfoot, not Timmins)
That stick to Barkov's knee is brutal. Hate that sneaky crap.
It's too late for that. We had to buy low.Not exactly for this thread but I think I'd still try for PLD.
I'll also say this about the Flyers, and again, I'm no expert on goaltending. But I'm betting Carter Hart ain't the guy. He's decent, maybe even good, but I don't think he's a franchise-level goaltender. I know, it's hard to say given how horrid the team is in front of him, but even John Gibson had some stellar runs bailing out some positively abominable Ducks teams IIRC. Hart just strikes me as a middle-tier guy, Phil Groobhour-caliber. Nothing more.
Well to state the obvious you know more about these things than I. I just see goals he gives up that look terrible IMO, of course that takes whatever defensive breakdown that has taken place beforehand out of context. We'll see I guess.Weird thing to say about a 24yo goalie who is the lone bright spot on a terrible team and whose exceeding expectations based on shot quality to the same level as Ilya Sorokin. The downfall of John Gibson was a changing NHL. Gibson came in hot, played on good teams and when the Ducks started to really struggle so did he. Hart came in ok on a meh team struggled as all goalies in his age group usually do and it looks like he's figuring it before he hits his prime which is bad for the NHL if the Flyers get a FO overhaul.
