Capfriendly doesn't know when/if the players on LTIR are coming back. If you look carefully you'll notice that current cap space is the same as deadline cap space.

They do if you scroll down on the desktop version. Avs are projected to have a whopping $125,083 cap space.

highly doubt it happens but go get Naz with retention from Calgary
Not even worth discussing.

I expected a regression, but not this much. I didn't think the point differential for Naz playing for the Avs and Flames would be 40 points
He’s no longer playing in a system that pushes the attack like Colorado does, and they don’t have the same skating and offensive dynamic from their blueline.

We'll see what happens I guess, but if there’s one guy who’s kinda disappointing me on Calgary’s forward corps, is Mangiapane. That guy transformed from a grinder to a legit scorer but he doesn’t really seem to have the same pop he did in previous seasons.

I've still got time for Kakko. There doesn't seem to be a lot of dynamic offensive skill there but I could see him having some success on the Avs if he ever became available. I doubt Laf is going anywhere anytime soon and nor should he.

I'm just surprised these young players aren't take that next step and having success under the great Gallant behind the bench. I mean, if that treatment of Kakko during the playoffs doesn't get him motivated to play for his coach then I don't what could!

I mean when players get old? I don't get why you're so surprised about his regression to the mean.
Like I said, I'm not surprised about the regression, I'm just surprised it's this big. He did started the season PPG and I thought he would at least get 80 or something. It's still early, he might pick it up and get to that if the Flames team as a whole get better

Why though? He just regressed to his career normal levels is all.

I’d be so curious to see what Bednar could get out of either Kakko or Lafreniere

So in short, the bad guy in this story was the other woman in the org, Emilie Castonguay.

Castonguay released a statement regarding these allegations on Sunday. “I take a lot of pride in my work with the Vancouver Canucks, being a good leader, a person of high moral character, and always respecting and putting my co-workers first,” she said in the statement.

Castonguay went on to say the allegations against her are “absolutely not true” and she will comment no further as this is a legal matter. The Canucks organization also released a statement of its own.

“We strongly disagree with the allegations brought forth by Ms. Doerrie,” their statement begins. “Our organization provided Ms. Doerrie with all the necessary resources, support, and opportunities to succeed in her role.” The Canucks also will provide no further comment.

She sounds awful to work with from everything I've seen.

I read the employees version of events and think to myself that I can understand why the employer let her go. Two short stints with NHL teams that didn't end amicably.

I'm not going to go into the she said/she said parts of it because no one will know exactly what was said. I can imagine the accusations if it was Emil and not Emile, so I guess there Canucks dodged a bullet.

This is only one side of the story.

But based on this information, of all people it had to be another woman. This is going to be a prime example for the old boys club to point to and say 'this is why we stick to how things have been' or 'women in the front office just cause drama', etc.
