Lol that Hockey Canada logo always rubbed me the wrong way like "Are they playing for a Corporation or their Country?". It makes no f***ing sense and on top of that the logo is ugly and stupid (with a hockey player on it are you f***ing kidding me?). Then with the past events it simply has to go, along with black as a color for Canada.

Agreed. It's something new every time. Some of them legit reasons for not having any international tournament and others not so much IMO. Bettman and co clearly don't want it and everyone else suffers.

MacKinnon and Crosby have both been in the league for 10 years and they haven't played in any best vs. best tournament together. I have no issue with the NHL taking a little break so I can watch MacKinnon and McDavid on the same team/line. Plenty of others in the same boat as well.

You think they'd be worse with Gaudreau or Gaudreau wouldn't help them? I think he would make them better, but there is always possibility of ruining chemistry and stuff so who knows

Edit: he still has 12 points in 13 games for the worst team in the league currently

Gaudreau and CBJ are playing the long con here. Laine-Fantilli-Gaudreau is going to be stellar.

New Jersey is 8 straight without Johnny Hokki.

The should applaud him instead of booing him.

I'm not triggered by current events but regarding the Olympics (which their corruption is an entire discussion on its own), I feel similar. I'd rather watch them play NHL games. Everyone knows Canada is the best hockey country. The Olympics don't prove that. But the NHL does. So the Olympics just seem like a pointless and tedious exercise. I think it appeals to overt and closet jingoists though.

The Olympics or World Cup, if it's handled right, will feature some of the best hockey of the season. As a fan of the sport that's great.

I do wish international hockey would be more vicious and not purely a show of skill though. The 1996 world cup was like a different sport compared to the recent international tournaments.

Lol how does the NHL proof that and the Olympics don’t.

Because there are more Canadians on a certain team they win?
