This should put an end to anyone defending him

Unfortunately it won’t, the people that defend him, similar to the people that went after Kadri from a racial perspective, or defend the alleged rapists that have cropped up in hockey, don’t look at facts or use logic. It’s all their own internal beliefs that they aren’t going to move off of.

Zero reason why Isaiah should be being tormented by people on social media.... completely unacceptable behavior. Miller simply has to do more, if he doesn't, any chance will never come.

He's done. Pretty obvious he shows no remorse. Him and his whole ***** family.
I'm saying he's done unless he shows a lot more... in other words, I simply think he's done too. Said that a few days ago that nobody is going to touch this again in the west and the east really isn't an option right now. Maybe next year he heads to the KHL, but even then I really have my doubts. He gets to 23 with one season played since being drafted... I can't really see any team taking a chance on him.

I'm one of those who fully supports second chances especially for teenagers but it's become evident that Miller likely can't be rehabilitated. There are some people out there who just can't be bothered to see reason or are incapable of any sort of introspection.

If I understand correctly he turned down the offer to attend UND as a student instead of an athlete and played in the USHL instead? He sure ****ed that up. Now he's someone without a college education with no life skills outside of hockey who can't play hockey.

NCAA scholarships are typically a year to year thing. He had the scholarship for that year and kicking him out for that year would have been a legal issue. He had his scholarship pulled for the following year and it was known that he wasn't welcome back after the following year. So he was pulled out. Hindsight 20/20, he certainly should have stayed and used that year much differently.

I've heard anywhere from 3-5 college teams (including one in Colorado) worked to bring him in various ways. From walking-on, to a student then walk-on, and full scholarship. All of them were denied by administrators. Pretty much any college has a morality clause that ties to attendance, which makes it an easy out for a high profile situation like this.

If I was advising him, I'd tell him to keep his head down for as long as it took, volunteer and work with every place possible (knowing some will deny you). Also likely impossible given the situation, but getting away from his family. Understand that you have zero credibility so it has to be built up. Until there is substance, you can't do a damn thing. And by substance, the public is going to give zero benefit of doubt, so dot every i, and cross every t. If it doesn't come in a year, you have to more into a second year or third year. And so on until it is enough. The public is demanding a lot and until you give into those demands (and likely more as time goes on), there is simply nothing that can be done. Outside his control in the sense of what the public wants, but in his control to make progress. Also don't publicize the moves, just build a resume where you can flatly present it.

Uh-huh. There’s your “apology” for the people who keep carrying water for this slimebucket.

This kid is STILL being bullied but Miller’s defenders and sycophants.
I think that would still be happening regardless of what Miller did or what the boy said about him.

Unfortunately it seems the kid and literally everyone else around him are too stupid to do anything remotely close to the "put your head down and get to working on being forgiven" aspect of life.

Seems like this kid still has the "rep hockey player" mentality of him being forgiven just so he can move on with his hockey career. F***ing loser. Him and his stupid ass family.

I’m just waiting to see who’s currently playing in the nhl that’s clenching their B hole over this situation. Guaranteed there’s someone sitting at home watching this unfold thinking “gee that sounds a lot like what ______ put me through back in the day and he’s playing in the nhl today”

And an indelible reputation. Fuggin idiot.

Not to this degree. If Miller and his family finally came clean and admitted the full severity of his actions, and he showed genuine remorse, a lot of those people would shut up. In fact, a few of the most toxic among them might go after them instead.

I still think a team or two will at least be working behind the scenes to try something. I'm not convinced every NHL team was so cowed by this that they're not willing to at least give it a go. Someone out there still thinks his reputation can be rehabilitated enough (note I said "reputation," not the actual person).

I kind of hope we can find something else to fill endless pages about. At this point no one is on the guys side and we all know he’s a piece of shit. It’d be cool to talk about other stories again.

I think we're all sick of this but at the same time there wouldn't be "endless pages" filling this thread about him if there hadn't been multiple people on here trying to garner sympathy for him.
