Favourite Halloween candy?

Chocolate: Reese's (the cups, not pieces) easily #1. Kit Kat and Mr. Big are up there too.

Candy: Starburst

The one juice box you'd get when you're out was always money too when far away from home.

This isnt the OT thread though

I'm convinced that the pressure-cooker of the Toronto media and fanbase is getting to that team. They're all under the microscope 24/7 in that town, like nowhere else in the league. That city's obsession with hockey is ironically what's going to ensure they never win a Cup again. The players are only human, and mostly young kids at that, it's inevitable that the scrutiny is going to get under their skin. And with every loss the pressure only grows. It's a toxic environment and it's not getting better anytime soon.

They started slow last season too, right? And ultimately they were one or two bounces from knocking off Tampa.

That's fine. Y'all want to talk about the Leafs or the Avs 2C position for the 200th day in a row or candy?!? Don't you dare say the former and just answer the question since you already responded.
I mean, it's a hockey forum. I'm here to talk hockey and read others' more informed opinions.

@Pokecheque I'm not going to tag you every single time that Tage scores, don't worry

On a very related note, I've read at a couple of different places this week that ROR looks cooked. Like he completely fell off a cliff. No more legs, zero explosiveness, he's no longer the guy he once was.

Now he never was a good skater to begin with but everyone assumed that he'd age well because of his style and IQ. Were we wrong?

I didn't watch the Blues yet this year but for those who did, does ROR look this bad?

ROR is looking worse than normal, and he’s certainly on the downside of his career. His IQ is just barely keeping up at this point, if his skating drops off more, the bottom could fall out. We could be seeing that right now.

Sucks for him that it's happening on the last year of his contract. That 7th year may end up costing him a lot of money.

Man imagine if he'd have signed 6 years instead of 7 with Buffalo, he'd have fooled some poor GM last summer on a long term deal and showed up like this on year one.

I’m gonna guess that some GM still will and just forgive one bad year (if it ends up bad).

people are often lamenting the amount of injuries but damn, if there is one franchise who looks cursed with this it is the Capitals. ridiculous amount of top players out these past two years. right now they are missing Backstrom, Wilson, Brown... also lost Oshie and Carlsson... if their scouting wasnt good, they should be dead last.

Yeah out of the gate only dallas and Winnipeg have looked good. We are struggling but Minnesota and St.louis are a mess. Also LA beating the Blose and binnington melting down is fun to watch
LA looks to have figured it out after stumbling out the gate. Thats a deep forward group but damn do they need a goalie and D. Shane Durzi is a stud.

All that in only 17 minutes of ice time
Please stop

Apparently we’re in the timeline where Tage Thompson is the best player in the world.
A lot of people were laughing at Buffalo for that contract but it might very well end up being a steal.

It was basically the Kadri contract but he's 25 instead of being 32.

I posted goal #1 so here's #2 and #3

It was a risk, but if he plays at all close to last season, it’s a steal. I was sure the kid was a bust before it clicked for him. He’s finally playing to his massive potential and can utterly dominate when he’s on. Maybe only 2 or 3 players can handle his size, strength, skill combo when he’s on.
