Pretty sure it’s the worst pick in Avs history, according to AJ he’s the only first rounder in the last 15 years to never get an NHL game. Even at 23rd overall that’s just stunning.

Yeah, well what's weird is how it might have shaped the point of view of the front office. For example, did Jost get a longer leash because he at least showed up in shape, unlike CB?

I think Jost would've gotten a long leash regardless--the draft pedigree, the work ethic both on and off the ice, the character, etc. He was willing to play just about any role to and the Avs tried him literally everywhere in the lineup to try and get him to work.

I don't know if Bleackley's failure had a direct impact but I think it most certainly had an indirect impact, in that the pure scarcity of prime-time prospects in the system due to poor drafting kinda forced them to give him every break imaginable. There just wasn't a fallback option for a while there.

Watch the full videos and its obvious he isn't ready yet. He doesn't look as bad as Gabe does but no way he's a key part of a playoff hockey team in the next week or two. Like Gabe, maybe by round 2 or 3 you have a top six contributor.

And there are no easy games in the NHL as we saw with the Sharks game and Ducks game. Even if a few stars are rested the rest of the guys out there can win a game.

Wild resting their players since they are basically locked into 3rd now.
Smart. The Avs basically did that the final 10 games of the season last season and they came out like a bat out of hell in Game 1 against the Preds.

Yah I think Mark might be close to being done. He does not look good and for a guy who wasnt a great skater to begin with having those surgeries is not ideal I dont think.

Go Wings!!!!

Tim Stutzle is a 1C with the Sens this year.

3rd season in the NHL:

38G 50A 88PTS in 77 games.

He has a legit chance of becoming as good or better than Mackinnon.

Not too surprising really. Last year it was clear he was ending the season taking the step to becoming an elite player.

This week, I find myself rooting for both Detroit and St. Louis.

Irony is fun sometimes.
Honestly i hope Binnington has some insane games so the bLoser cope train leaves the station to the golf green yet again believing he's the right guy for the job and that contract isn't comically bad.
