Man Holmstrom can really pick corners. If they could convince him to be a volume shooter he would easily pot 25+
He's gonna pot 25 this year.

BARZAL ISN'T THE ISSUE!At least. He is dreadful and puts a real strain on his partner. DeAngelo may not be a rock back there but at least he can retrieve pucks and start a breakout. His history says he should be a 50 point guy. If the PP/Barzal issue got addressed who knows. 1.5 - 2mil per for DeAngelo vs 7plus for Dobson. Hmmm
For Holmstrom I think this is a sign of maturity. He looks comfortable enough playing with the vets to be the trigger guy on a rush. Up until now I think he felt like he was deferring to his linemates. That play is all Tsyplakov. Most of our forwards wouldn’t curl back that fast and push the play up ice with such urgency.
I love that he did that.

Edit: Kinda random, but I’ve always liked #90 Richard on the Flyers. He’s got some speed and skill.
Agreed. He is ready to move up in the lineup. For Holmstrom I think this is a sign of maturity. He looks comfortable enough playing with the vets to be the trigger guy on a rush. Up until now I think he felt like he was deferring to his linemates.
My thoughts on Perunovich so far - he doesn't always make the best decisions with the puck, but he's decisive. Contrasting this with, say, Mayfield whose decisions with the puck aren't the best, and he makes them ponderously. He reminds me a bit of Toews when he first came up, but a bit smaller, and without the explosiveness. Also, I can't say I'm seeing anything in Perunovich thus far, but it sure doesn't feel like we're worse off with DeAngelo and him on that blueline. They can each move the puck and that seems to be main reason for our current success.
He’s also moving up the ‘that was a very nice pick in that spot Lou’ considering all the shit the organization got and he got for that pick.Agreed. He is ready to move up in the lineup.
This is it. Doing great so far. Roy may be pulling another rabbit out of his hat again. LGI!I cannot believe this team!
This next stretch can really make or break the rest of the season.
LET's GO ISLES!
NSS . . . but you make it seem like that's his ceiling. At 200 SOGs he's going to have 40. His accuracy is terrific given how fast he can bring it. Those 13 goals are on 50 SOGs. and his full career it is over 21`%.Not a guarantee
