Unpopular opinion? He’s progressing every game. I’d hold off until he stagnates or contractual decisions need to be made before assuming he’s getting sent down. I feel the better coaches and linemates may be around him already. His energy coupled with Xhekaj’s the other night was unprecedented since the last cup for me.
also, the 9 game mark is only contractual. He can still be sent to junior after 9 games, it just uses the 1st year of his entry level deal, which is fine imo.

Imagine if that becomes his only goal. Like he lost his hockey bone.
Well the good news I guess is that Wright doesn't look much better in the early going.

But yeah, we need to come out of that draft with SOMETHING. Even if he's not quite what we hoped he at least has to be a 2nd liner or it's going to really suck for us.

Despite the draft not being great you are going to hear people moaning about all the 10-25 guys with better stats we could have used the pick on. It will be A Kost all over again :( OR griegerenko.

There was no blue chip prospects in that draft. The guys will all need seasoning. You wont know before another 2 maybe even 3 years who was the right choice. I like slaf though. He's great a stealing pucks and applying pressure. He's raw but you can already see he'll be good for puck possession as long as he keeps his head on his shoulder.

With the selection of Mesar, Beck and Hutson, this past draft looks more than promising. If Slafkovsky reaches his potential, which I have little doubt that he will, the 2022 draft will go down as a pivotal one in the team's return to relevancy.

I thought Xhekaj said it was his wrist and that it was minor
Yes, Arber overspoke at the presser following Slaf’s injury. Only area of uncertainty is that he added the word “thinks”.

Doesn't seem serious if it's his wrists

That reminds me when I was a kid (around 9-10 years old), my ankle flipped and was diagnosed with an ankle sprain. The doc said "2 weeks without too much walking/running and no jumping.". I was throwing basketball (with jumps) the next day in gym class despite being exempted...

Good to see he finally fixed that horrendous tape job. I hope he sticks with it.
Everyone was bugging him since camp started about it and Gallagher bullied him to add one row each time he failed to score a goal. He's never removed that tape now...
