Article about Slaf, they interviewed Craig Ramsay and talk a bit about his play in Liiga vs International, etc.

Ramsay’s comparable player for Slaf: Clark Gillies

That’s just the truth.

Interesting that Lecavalier was so involved…

He must have done it directly on behalf of Hugo or MSL has he doesn’t seem to answer to the scouting department.

His role of Special Advisor to Hockey Ops is apparently ”to support Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes and president of hockey operations Jeff Gorton while also offering his thoughts and advice on the team to coach Martin St. Louis and the players when necessary.”

Looking to buy his rookie card. Which one would you fellows buy?
You'll have to wait 1-2 years before all of them are available. In case you're loaded, his UD The Cup Rookie Patch Auto will be the most sought after. But it's going to cost at least four figures.

Buy his Young Guns, they seem to be the most popular and more affordable than the Cup and SP Authentic. There are different versions of the young guns that will cost a lot as well but the regular one is at least obtainable and a pretty good investment. Having the #1 pick with the Habs will be great for the card industry, if he can get in the running for rookie of the year his stuff will be expensive.

I find buying quality is best in long run.

A friend of mine bought a graded Gretzky rookie of 8 today for $8,000. Cards are going high again

I agree with you. With Future Watch and The Cup RPA you know the scarcity of your collectable.

Although I do expect card market to crash at some point. Until then it's interesting to see how high Slaf's rookies will go. Hopefully you get one!

Quest of the day. To find 10 differences vs Slafkovsky

I would guess it is all muscle. He was working hard on his strength all summer. He is now the size of Ovechkin.

I can't wait to see this kid in action.
Muscle or not, if he's been working on his upper body as was stated, then he's carrying more weight for each stride. Usually, it will affect stamina, but if your body is still well balanced, then it won't be that noticeable. Hopefully it's the case for him.

True re: stamina. It will be a big fail on our trainers/development people if he didn't develop properly and well balanced. I suspect all will be well!

It could have been worse. He was officially weighed at 229 in September 2021 by TPS turku (before last season started). So he really only took 9 pounds from 17 to 18 year old. 9 pounds won’t make much of a difference on his play.

Biggest player on the Habs. 4 pounds more than David Savard... Officially the biggest #1 in history when he steps on the ice. 13 pounds more than Lindros his second season.
#1 in history of what actually? If you are going by biggest in Habs History, it’s not him just my memory John Scott was bigger.

Rookie, JackEye has him by an inch.
EDIT: ha, number 1 overall pick, got you!

That makes me happy to read considering MSL seems to be a coach of that mold.

I'm gonna go ahead and leave this here.

6'3" 238 lbs......18 years old......nuff said!

That sounds great and It might be but it's also a huuuuuuge red flags.
How many player in that league have that weight and are very good?
One and it's Ovechkin

That's a whole lot of weight to carry around, trying to be explosive and gain some speed (cause skating never been his strongest attribute)
