My expectations are very low as usual for a draft.

Low expectations = Never disappointed.

Unfortunately I broke my own rule about that and was really excited for today, but with the first pick debacle and the Dach debacle it's been a bad night, I turned it off, I'll find out later what giant potential player we get at 26.

Just listening to the interviews, liked what I heard from Slaf. Sounds mature and he'll need to be to have a chance in this market. I got the sense that he has a better chance to succeed here then Wright. Got the sense all the pressure and scrutiny of the last few years has worn Wright down some. Maybe the best thing for him to go to a less pressurized market.

He is charismatic. That will endear him to the fans.

Where does he play next year, not a big fan of 18 year olds in the AHL, I know he's a big kid but I would rather not rush him to the AHL.

Love it I’ll thrust that they made the right choice now let no rush him to prove that it was, just let him develop. And same goes for the rebuild not short cut.

I will say I did want Shane Wright, however I'll admit there's no chance I watch as much hockey as those who make the draft selections.

Excited to see what he can do, and if 2 other teams passed on Wright. There must be something I missed.

That did make me feel better especially after Phoenix didn’t draft him . On ice play is one thing but wonder how the interview process and such affected this .
Resisting the tyranny of the consensus. Good day for Montreal .

He has a one year contract for next season with TPS.

there's a PTA in place with Finland and the NHL so they can bring him over this summer if they want to. I would be ok with another year in Liiga though not a huge fan of it.
