 Buck and Pat using W/L record to show Grienke's turnaround after leaving KC.

Grienke the Royal: 3.82 ERA, 3.59 FIP, 1.26 WHIP
Grienke the Brewer: 3.67 ERA, 2.79 FIP, 1.20 WHIP
Grienke the Dodger: 2.30 ERA, 2.97 FIP, 1.03 WHIP
Grienke the D'back: 3.40 ERA, 3.58 FIP, 1.09 WHIP
Grienke the Astro: 3.59 ERA, 3.32 FIP, 1.11 WHIP

He was a bit better as a Brewer and Dodger, but his Royals tenure wasn't that much worse than anything else.

The big difference in that W/L record is that KC was a tire fire while he was on that team and then afterwards he shuffled through a bunch of pretty good clubs. And Arizona.

Wins and Losses are stupid as a measure of player value, Buck/Pat. Figure it out already. And I know you can because I've seen you laud players for their record, and then for some other guys go "well, he's not getting the run support so that record is a little misleading" for others. So you know what the flaw is. You acknowledge that it exists. You just won't shift off your heels-dug-in insistence that Wins must be a valuable stat because like Herm Edwards once said, "you play to win the game"

Kirby Yates, Buck. his name is Kirby. Unless the Jays were depending on giving a comeback attempt to a 43-year old former short-run reliever who was last seen 12 years ago as a gas can for the Pirates.

That inning still is part of the improvement of Stripling the last few games. Because he got into a jam and got out of it. April/early May Stripling would've imploded and given up 4 runs.
