Nah the real problem is having a runner at 2nd and 3rd with 0 outs and not scoring. That's baseball 101. You got to score at least one there and you really don't need to avoid bad calls to do so.

Oh, absolutely. Grichuk's AB was horrible and the real real real real root problem is putting a player slumping that badly 5th in the order. If Gurriel or Biggio is there the team gets a far better AB.

I'm just talking about that play in a vacuum. Gurriel and Hernandez reacted like they thought it was a foul ball. If the Jays aren't convinced on a non-reviewable play, there's no way the umps will side with them. If Gurriel immediately turns and starts waiving in Hernandez, I'm convinced that would have been a run. But Gurriel actually did tip it and was being honest or had one of the biggest brain farts imaginable and forgot that the WP would cash the runner.

Team will be much better next year when they insert MLB ready talent and hopefully have a different manager.

I love the player he's the son of my favorite player of all time but he's really not good at running base. Back in the days it was very common to use a substitute base runner for guys like vlad jr in the 9th with 0 out. Yeah you potentially lose a hitter in extra innings but you got to get there first. Back in the days they would have 6 or 7 man pens and would have room for pinch runner/defensive substitutions. Starters don't throw complete games like the old days.

This is BS. This team is very good that is getting screwed over by a crap bullpen which mainly sucks because about 6 good relievers are on the DL.

The offense is one of the best in the league despite missing two of their catchers and one of their best hitters. The starting pitching is solid now too.

I use the quotes because teams with a good pen should take out their starters to put in their elite pen guys.

You guys are right. I'm getting my frustration get in the way. Just annoying how many winnable games we loat. BP is the only thing missing. Another starter and a lefty bat would be nice too.
