I don't like this. Suddenly they're missing good pitches to hit. Makes me think they're tired and losing focus.

And Springer in center...good lord. Nevermind sticking him out there at all, let's stick him in the most demanding outfield position first.

"You walk that leadoff batter and more often than not he's going to come around to score."

The Leadoff Walk

Leadoff baserunners on 1st through any means score about 37% of the time. The "how" of them getting to first makes basically no significant difference (walk, single, hbp, dropped 3rd strike, error, etc)

That's not great. But it's also not "more often than not" by any stretch of the definition.

The Twins are becoming my most hated team. Bottle jobbed against the Yankees while up 5-0 and now they’re looking like the Dodgers while playing spoiler. F*** em

I'll take 37%. Look at last night, for example.

I know I harp on Buck a lot, but what the hell was that? Buck Martinez, the patron saint of "well you just have to stop hitting into the shift and go the other way" or "Sometimes you have to not try and hit the 3-run homer and just slap it through a hole and keep the line moving." is now saying "well you can't change how you hit. You are what you are and you have to keep doing what you're doing."?

Either we've crossed into the bizarro universe or he's completely lost his marbles.
