George Springer has been awful. He'll probably remain injury prone for the length of his contract

Streaky offense. Hot for weeks, then cold for weeks. Might need some subtle changes in approach next year.

Springer has been injured almost all of his career. The difference is, he's still pretty damn good at 80%. Problem is he's been 50% since his knee injury.

He’s been horrible. Well over 30 games with a sub .600 OPS.

you simply can’t expect to overcome a black hole like that.

I think the only reason he is playing is because Grichuk has been trash for months.

we are simply getting nothing out of CF.

I think this city is very laid back when it comes to baseball and basketball. I don't think the Raps and Jays get much heat at all from fans or media. Just my observation.

They're part of some branding-driven 3rd jersey initiative across MLB. In Boston's case they're the color of the Boston Marathon banners and relate to all that "Boston Strong" stuff that's been a thing for the last however-many years since the marathon bombings.

But they still look awful. I'm not against a blue/yellow color combo in general, but not for a team called the Red Sox.

I'd like to pretend we're somehow softer on athletes here, but then I remember there are people who think Simmons are legit. There's such a great young core here and if they miss the playoffs, it'll just be another Leafs article that you roll your eyes at.
