Dyson likely isn't ready until tomorrow so Dyson can play CF tomorrow while Grichuk gets the day off. Grichuk plays today and Palacios sits.

You know your manager sucks when the people who are employed by the company that owns the team aren't waiving the pompoms anymore. I f***ing cringed when I saw Palacios in the lineup today. Montoyo must feel really secure about his job because if you're in a must-win scenario and managing like a 90 loss team giving September call ups some playing time...is he that dumb?

To be fair, two runs should be nothing for this offense.
 
At the trade deadline we had one of the easiest schedules for the rest of the season. We can't even beat Detroit and their makeshift pitching staff.

Crazy how far this team is from the playoff picture with a pitching staff that has 2 guys who could get Cy Young votes(Ray and Manoah). I realise Alek wont have the IP but hes having an insane rookie campaign.
 
Did Buck just say that using your closer in tied games is "against the analytics"?

EDIT: I backed up and rewatched that part. he did indeed lump using closers in tied games with bunting and stealing as being things that are "against the analytics"

I don't understand. What happens when the game ends with the Jays' score being higher than the other team? Isn't that against the rules or something?
