Imagine if Ray and Ryu didn't bother showing up the last two games. Just 3 runs on two swings of the bat in 13 innings against Wily Peralta and Tyler Alexander is just horrible.
 
Alright. Now the stage is perfectly set: Thronton comes in next inning, walk, walk, hit, hit/scores run, double play, HBP, 3-run home run. Jays then trail and go out limply in the bottom of the 9th including Charlie pinch-hitting Valera for Hernandez then asking him to bunt with the bases empty.

Well... it didn't happen today but that's just so that we have a glimmer of hope for tomorrow's game before it's snatched away from us in the most brutal and cruel way possible.

Between the pain associated with being a fan of both the Sharks and the Blue Jays I don't think I have felt a glimmer of hope in years. Just recently though, I thought the tides were beginning to turn but then it all came crashing down when I bought one of those Blue Jays mystery memorabilia packages from the charity auction and the signed baseball turned out to be none other than Yangervis Solarte.

I would think they have to win 9 or 10 in a row or something in order to even think about making it interesting in late stages of Sept. So this is a must win game today
