Zegras - Turcotte - Kaliyev should be together on the powerplay as well (with York and Caufield). Turcotte creates a lot of space for Zegras, who uses that space oh so well. If Turcotte and Zegras can get the puck to Caufield or Kaliyev, you're basically looking at guaranteed goals.

I didn't like that either. I'm not sure why Boldy is on the first PP instead of Turcotte. I feel like Turcotte sometimes suffers with offensive roles and discussions because he's less offensively flashy than others.

Don’t get me wrong, Sanderson had a good game against Finland, but I think you aren’t taking into account how effective York-Thrun were. You are thinking of it as a fan of the team that drafted Sanderson not a fan of the team he’s playing for in this tournament. If he leapfrogs them, he’ll probably win best defender of the tournament. I highly doubt he’ll do so. Those guys are a year older and really good.

I admire your consistent outlook on Sanderson. He very well could win best D. Special, special talent. Was already looking like North Dokota’s best all around D. You are in for a treat bro, sit back and enjoy. Also, please don’t assume. I was high on Sanderson long before Sens drafted him.

Boldy was the best player on the PP1 last night.

I thought best American forward in general.

Kaliyev was born in Uzbekistan but moved to Staten Island when he was two.
Two you say?Well I could say he could play for the Russians(old Soviets) and or Americans but I won't you got me there Piscotta...Hey Tony is that your real name sounds quite Italian to me,paesan?

Good game all around. I thought the Turcotte/Zegras/Kaliyev line and the Beniers/Boldy/Caufield lines played really well. And on D, Sanderson really was our best defenseman.
From a King's perspective I liked how Turcotte played and Kaliyev was pretty good too. Kaliyev doesn't look like the fat kid I saw last year that couldn't back-check worth his life. He's come a ways which is good! Turcotte looked fast and the others Beniers, impressed the hell out of me...Caufield does what he does and Zegras is going to be a good one also! Minny got a good one in Boldy too...A replacement for Zach Parise? Could be?On defense I liked York and Johnson. Sanderson didn't really stand out for me,that's not to say he didn't play well! Faber looked decent to good from the limited minutes he got

I'm not concerned about the goal tending. Knight has only played 4 games this year and while he could've had that first one, the second was a screen and an excellently placed shot. If Knight is still shaky there is still Dustin Wolf to man the net.

Just got in about 10 minutes ago from walking my dog in the snow and blowing wind. Team Canada forwards not named Byfield were taking awfully long shifts! Canada has Byfield playing LW. That's a team player. Saw some good hustle on his part and he drew a Russian penalty that Canada didn't do much with! Dach is over rated in my opinion. Game from what I've seen wide-open lots skating...After 2 periods of play scoreless 0-0

I have no axe, although apparently I always have an axe for and against every team when my opinion doesn't align with the approved line for NHL teams. I can never keep up with these ridiculous conspiracy theories. It's amazing that people have the time for this stuff.

However, I'll turn it around and call it an axe that Senators fans have against York and Thrun. Let's see how you like it.

Sry I will ignore the terrible takes of dozens of real life NHL scouts who, by the majority of accounts are of the opinion that he will be a two-way force top-2 D, instead of a random guy from HFBoards who likes to denigrate him and spread disinformation and attempt to lower expectations wherever he can regarding Jake Sanderson’s trajectory. Yeah and actually I as well unironically wonder how people have time for this sort of thing, especially when the poster raising this type of question has almost 50,000 posts lmao.

You've now made up a whole story that isn't grounded in reality, and has absolutely nothing to do with anything thats been discussed in this thread.

But sure, big bad guy on the internet needs to be painted in a bad light by you because he said to show more respect to players that are competition for places with the one your team drafted.

Now can you let us discuss our team and stop this nonsense?
