Beecher cut is so dumb.
They went with 13f and 9dSeems a bit strange going with 10F and 9D
Let me rephrase that, without the puck he’s an absolute plug, with the puck he can create scoring chances and bury opportunities, he needs to be a little sheltered in terms of who he’s matched up against when playing against Canada/Russia/Sweden/Finland/Germany’s big 3....... otherwise he could get exposed badlyTo be fair, Kaliyev is an underrated playmaker as well - he's not just a plug who can shoot.
Was too lazy to open tweet so didn't show the entire list of forwardsThey went with 13f and 9d
At C. there would be
Zegras
Turcotte
Beniers
?
seriously though Slaggert, Farinacci, Moynihan over both Bordeleau and Beecher.. Don't think I'd do that and to have some flexibility with the C depth could be important if one of those 3 go down.
Leafs should had made it easier on him. Ensure his roster spot
Why would you think a team full of college players would not respect a college coach? College coaches rely on their best players just like any other coach in any other sport. I think it's important to remember that these are short tournaments and sometimes things happen...
That said, Sandelin coached last year's team the way he coaches in Duluth - its a strategy anyone would love over a long season, but didn't work in a short tournament and does emphasize spreading talented up and down the line-up. Who knows what Leaman will do, but I'll say again that is NOT how he coaches at PC...
Motzko, Hastings, Sadelin and Leaman are all very different coaches. Lumping them together as college coaches and assuming college coaches will fail is un-nuanced and reactionary...
Wouldn't surprise me if Bordeleau tested positive as well
