Couldn't be happier to have Point stay long term, not as many players as one might think is this good during both RS and PO.

So...
right now...Gusev...? Perry?
I think we're done. RFAs will get negotiated with right up until camp as we typically do with ELCers. I think we've got -

Palat - Point - Kucherov
Killorn - Cirelli - Stamkos
Katchouk - Colton - Joseph? Raddysh?
Maroon - Bellemarre - Stephens?

And D is now set.

Going to guess we let these young guys fight for spots. Third line will probably be a bit sheltered to start and we'll try to replace whoever doesn't work out at the deadline.

How? Where are we at cap wise? Thought we needed to sign the kids?
Perry is going to come at under a million, so cap is irrelevant as we can make whatever roster moves necessary to be compliant. Only issue would be the contract limit.

Don't know if we're still going to go for him but I don't think it'd be much of a concern either way.

Do you think that our third line will be fine?
I'm scared by the fact we could have lost a lot of grit and Idk if our prospects can replace our former third liners on this aspect.

I don't want to roll with that line in the playoffs most likely (but I also forgot ABB in there so Cirelli may slide down). A third line of Colton - Cirelli - Katchouk/Joseph? That could work well.

But yeah - my guess is at the deadline we're going to be in the market for another Coleman/Goodrow type player to solidify our third line. Which is fine and probably better asset management than trying to do that today.

We have about 3m in cap space left after all the signings and moving some players down and all the RFA's unsigned

True. We can spend the first months of the regular season to test and to study our prospects, giving them a solid chance to play with our jersey
And then, if something won't work properly, we can make an adjustement at the deadline.
I'm super ok with that.

And all of our RFAs should come in around 1m or less. We have what - Colton and ABB to sign. ABB gets less than a million, maybe Colton comes in at like 1.1 or so. And then Foote gets less than a million as well and then we are pretty much done. Katchouk and Raddysh are going to come in low since they're not even NHLers yet, and then we'll have to do some roster gymnastics to move bodies around and maximize our LTIR space.

Great off season altogether.

I like the Bogo and Bellemare deals. Point locked in nice and early. I got questions about Elliott but whatever, just give Vasi some rest and allow under 5 goals per game.

I think we maybe try to move a kid out? There's really not any room for all of Barre-Boulet, Katchouk and Raddysh. Could also maybe move Joseph or Stephens in the right deal? To me the Bogosian deal means Rutta is gone next year, the Bellemare deal means Maroon is gone. Get vets in now so the transition is seamless and the kids aren't forced to take on as big a role just yet.

palat has one year left....so palat point kucherov
stamkos killer x ryan? some vet at trade deadline?
cirelli colton gusev
maroon bellamore xx joseph stephens pick the poison...
abb smith

hedman rutta
cernak macdaddy
serge bogo
foote
vasy
elliott

this is what id want to run this back with....a couple tweeks is all and gusev with colton and cirelli those three would score so it would work out ...not close to last years club but think this could be about as positive as could get...could see sending killer out bringing two guys in for him that do board work....not sure if cirelli gusev colton could work boards good enough but have a good feeling about it....much better then having tatar which is another guy like gusev id look at for a league min tell them look win the cup be a hero you will get paid...both are looking mighty slim imo in that dept because of d forward side is not good tatar got benched in playoffs.... etc...not seeing a lot of other options and no gusev is not about kucherov....be nice their chemistry is good but colton is a scorer gusev is a wizard passeer like kuch....so another 1 2 punch cirelli is a grinder and getting stronger better....really think line would work out
