This board killed them for trading to 22 to get Miller.

I don't understand pick value in the NHL the way its categorized in the NFL. The 15 moves to 23 or so and they get a second and another pick. Oilers move down 2 and get a third. Huh?

Would be have been better off letting someone else draft Miller and taking a worse prospect?

Some of our non-top-10 first rounders include JT Miller, Filip Chytil, Brady Skjei, and Michael Del Zotto.

Valuable players in the grand scheme of things, but none of them changing the direction of our organization.

There was a 99% chance before it was even made that this pick isn't affecting your life.

Its not a bad pick people. If it was the same human being but had a C next to his position everyone would be cheering. Take the best guy and develop in the mid-10s 1st round. I like it.

So the wing position shouldn’t be the big issue.
