I hope they draft for NHL skill, not filling up the Texas Stars. I know they intend to, but since they drafted all skill forwards last year, I could see them lean to defense to add prospects in that area, even though the area where we still need the most prospects is scoring forward.

Unless it doesn’t go into affect until next year but I believe this year there is only 2 draws so there’s no way Buffalo can draft any lower than number 3. I believe teams can only move up 10 spots too. So highest Dallas can possibly pick is 5.

A lot of nice prospects gonna be available at 15.

the only rule in effect this year is the 2 lotto picks. Dallas could pick 1st or 2nd in theory, they could also drop down to 16th.

There should be some decent prospects available at 15, which means queue up another 2nd/3rd round quality Russian talent with 0 iq

I think we draft a forward and in order of who might be available I really like Lucius, Sillinger, McTavish, Lysell, and Raty. Any of those guys and I’ll be excited.

Oh you're right. Detroit has been screwed by the draft lottery the most next to maybe Vancouver. I just wouldn't mind if it had to be them. I wouldn't mind Anaheim winning either.

Been casually looking at the draft not trying to get my hopes up for any one player, but man as much as people poopoo'd this draft, there's like 18 players I'd be happy with the Stars drafting. Maybe no game breaking franchise talent at the top end, but plenty of talented skilled players.
